Amazing isn't it? How come all the people who lost a family due to car wreck never lobbied for car control?
You don't need anything bigger and faster than a Toyota Prius, if you need to move big things call the moving company, they are there for that.

Funny, you think they wont work on making driving larger vehicles carry a penalty? Ill put $$$ that in the next 10 years you see "fees" on such. Lots of parking places are already built to limit larger trucks, and I believe ft collins can ticket currently for parking a vehicle over 20' long on city streets.
Let them keep pushing. The sooner they drop the pretense and get around to door to door confiscation, the better - IMHO. Let's not pretend anymore about where we're headed, and lets get this thing started...
Come and get em, Uncle Joe.

Dingo, I pray it never happens, not just for us, but for our kids sake

Colorado already does this for pickups

I would agree, except I believe it's inevitable. I pray it happens soon enough that we still have a generation capable of outrage and cohesive, productive, decisive reaction. It's the only way any of this abomination will ever get derailed.

I think it is about time for that geriatric fuck to check in at a senior citizen day care center.
As long as he leaves his shotgun home.

That's pretty much how I feel about everything. The faster they can piss us off, the better. It's the slow creep that worries me.

We just had a gun control debate in Writing Argument class today. Pretty much every boys and gals except me and the ex-Marine guy is pro-gun control. One bitch even cried that no one notice all the inner city black youths that are killed or hurt everyday in Chicago, and only if we make gun ownership a history they will stop.... I feel like the more people that blindly go into higher education the faster we are moving into a liberal socialist country. Bleak future, I got out of a Socialist country and find myself in a potential one.

If I was Biden's aide, I give him the Visine treatment....hahahahaa

Exactly. They're clever - the incrementalism will get the job done without a violent reaction on the part of people to care, at least big enough to matter

If he grows up like you it'll likely be as an estranged minority, having to live "under the radar" to quote a famous POS.
That seems to be Their goal, and they're doing a damn fine job of it. They're also smart enough to avoid what Dingo's alluding to, and unfortunately, time is always on their side.

Unfortunately, You're probably right. I got my first rifle when I was 7 (.22 that of course I only got to shoot under close supervision). I hope the same for my kid, but the way things are going, 4 years from now we may all be "criminals"
I'll just disregard their bogus laws and find a way to live in an area where I can do as I please when I please

Yup. We can be neighbors.

[pick-me]Me too me too
Their goal clearly is to criminalize private gun ownership. They'll start by requiring a mandatory license, which needs to be renewed regularly. Then they'll require that all your guns be listed on your license. Then they'll require you report any transfer, disposal, or theft. Then they'll weaken the 4th amendment to permit LEOs to conduct a search of your home for minimal cause. If guns are found and you do not have a license, prison. If guns are found not listed on your license, prison. If a gun on your license is unaccounted for, prison. If you have more than the permitted amount of ammo, prison. Then they will start refusing to renew permits as they expire. THAT is how it is going to happen. Incrementally. House to house searches are still several generations away.
As it was already mentioned, it's the "slow creep" that worries me too. It's the "boiling a frog slowly" analogy. They (.gov) know this too. They are aware if they tried to enact Martial Law and shove confiscation and/or mandatory turn-in down our throats, it would get ugly and fast. The next three years under Obastard is going to be hard on us Patriots. I'm at the point where I feel we should just kick off the revolution and get it over with. It's clear the .gov needs to get knocked down a peg or two. They have definitely gotten to big for their britches. I don't want my sons growing up in a country where we are treated like slaves.
You are not the only one who think it's inevitable.
You have to respect the pattern.

“What you want is a whole series of laws that makes it harder for dangerous people to get guns and holds them accountable when they do get guns,”
When has a law stopped a law breaker, and when do these people hold law breakers accountable?
And this is "common sense gun law"?

I feel that these are the things to keep us all distracted while quiet deals are made.
ETA: On a side note, it's pretty fucking sad that a British newspaper tells us what's going on here...
