Back in March I posted an item in the BS/T section of this site and received an almost immediate reply to purchase it from a site member with positive feedback. That was over 60 days ago and all I have got since then is the run around and questionable claims. I originally posted notice of this in the Feedback section in hopes that others here that have had dealings with him would question his reason for non-payment. As of today I still have not been paid the $275.00 that he owes me and he again said he would mail to me on 5/25 with my reply to him that he should send it certified mail so we would BOTH know where my money is. I have all the text exchanges and the PM's sent back and forth to back my statements. Please see post #'s 63 and 64 in the following link. http://www.ar-15.co/threads/60408-dwalker460/page7?highlight=dwalker460
dons good people i have done all my transactions through the mail with him he will make it right
I think you're doing the right thing Bentsight. It's up to us to hold our own accountable, so hopefully he keeps his side of the bargain and has a good excuse to go along with it :)

Should have held off shipping the item until you received payment. That is what most sellers here do unless you have had several dealings with them.

I think that you're going about this the right way, but at the same time you ought to just set up a Paypal account for a single payment. Then, you could close it again.
Were it me, I'd do whatever I needed to in order to get my money.

Really? When will he make it right? Just pay the man already.
He PM'd me "I'll take it" on 1911 mags I had listed then mysteriously fell off the face of the earth and that was in 2012. I made a mental note and moved onward, ignoring his second "I'll take it" earlier this year on a different item.

looks like his last login was 6/4.
and if he did die, he should have informed his family he was making internet deals so they could make good. i know if I died my wife would take care of my financial obligations.
WHAT!!!! i have to hide like 75% of my deals from mama bear(looks over shoulder) there all "gifts" from my nice friends on the internet :D
I'm not 100% sure but iirc a few years back he did the same thing at the other ar board, and he popped up a while later here under his current name selling the same stuff.

Don't know the man- so not taking any personal potshots. He supposedly told seller that he had sent pymt 3? times. These were obviously lies. He has possession of a firearm given to him in good faith on the promise of final pymt of $275. 7 weeks of bullshit. Time to go over to his house with the repoman. We may not see him again on here based on car-15's post. His rep is officially shot here.

Integrity goes a long way Gents.........
You have his address, go get your shit.
Reading this thread just show that this is repetitive thing.
WILL NOT buy/sell with this person.
do you know his real name is it Ronald? if so I think I dug it up, if not i'm talking out of my a$$ and I was incorrect. if so he was in ft collins on his last go around.
i always sent my money to "don"
I have the name of a fantastic process server, should you decide to take this guy to court.
i always sent my money to "don"
the issue I was referring to the guy used the name "Ron" I'm not sure if its the same guy or not but they sound suspiciously close. I had a deal with him as did many others and they went well, all the sudden he started screwing random people. below is the link

yeah he was here I had a trade with him. and right after that he started flaking out and changing screen names, he would always do a few deals to get people to vouch for his latest screen name then screw a couple of people disappear and reappear a few months later with a new name. this really sounds like his mo hopefully I'm wrong and the op gets his money.

The staff understands the issue and has been trying to rectify this. Information is good but please do not let this turn into just a pile-on party. Going to leave this open for awhile.
Even yours truly has been stiffed by a couple of members here but it was small time stuff. [Flower]
Lol... "Pile On Party"
Reminds me of the "field fuck" scene in Jarhead. :-)

I dealt with Don few times. He has been good on deals.
There is no excuses for this to happen from what I read. Hopefully he'll make it right.
Had smooth first deal....secomd time I had to wait 1hour for him while he tried gathering cash. Hope he makes it right.
Even if the person makes it right, it does NOT justify 7 weeks of ............
Better to redeem 1/2 of integrity than none.

Gets taken care of the first scheduled time/place, or the deal is cancelled for the buyer/seller, and move to the next. Thats me tho, I have to many "yeah I want it" on a daily basis to have much patience anymore. ar15 guys I get/give by far much more slack too. Craiglist guys, they get an hour max. [LOL]

I left him a message regarding the issue. Who knows when he will respond. As he's usually on the race circuit this time of year. However timely correspondence is nice too.
Op has showed more patients than I would have.
Meh, I've treated you worse... [shithitsfan]
It is race time for him right now.
This kind of stuff really disgust me.
If I am sick or out of country, I would have asked my family member or relative to help me send the item/fund.
There are absolutely NO EXCUSE.

This post is not to address this specific OP situation but to inform on other site policy activity:
wow, thats some hell of a read. and dumb enough to think we cant tell when someone re registers. we can tell peoples personalities, we can tell your grammar and sentence structure usage. this was the guy who was a big shot racer with tons of money right? why cant people keep their word?
and mods
in the past was he KEOTA here as well?
We used to purge accounts that hadn't been accessed beyond a certain period of time; we stopped that practice a couple of years ago. To wit, we have no member (active, inactive or banned) in the member database with that userid.

For the record: Something I started doing a couple of years ago was checking out EVERY new member account's login data again our member database (and other external sources which I'll keep to myself). If something looks questionable I'll call out both member accounts for it (had a couple of members who are coworkers get called out recently. Both were a bit displeased with me). This practice helps keep people from creating more than 1account as well as keeps banned members from re-registering. If a member goes inactive for a while, their account is still available to be found for this check & I let them know what I suspect is going on. Their reaction to my PM, even if positive tells me more than their words alone. Like HBAR said, speech patterns are familiar. It's not 100% effective, but much better than nothing. The chances of successfully creating a new account by a banned member or someone who is pulling a fast one is slim at best. Often times I ban if my spidey sense is tingling too great. All of this helps stop the scenario identified above.
There is a reason my user title is "Roger's Revenge" (an ode to the site Founder & original owner) and my avatar is the Ban Hammer.
Going through old pms I realised he never sent me the muzzle break he promised 2 months ago......
I had many positive transactions with him last year and even beginning of this year.
He did not strike me as that kind of person...........
I hope he makes it right, but the damage has already been done. :(

*** UPDATE***
Well here it is 90 DAYS and still no payment from this guy...
In our last phone conversation he said that someone had called him and he was aware of my posts on this topic and still no payment...
[MOD] Info removed. Do not post personal info of another person on the site. This brings in a level of liable on the site, and above and beyond this personal transaction.
Thanks

I've never dealt with this guy personally but when asked a question about one of his trading post sales. He started to get defensive with me, we got into an argument over the thread (which I won), and the whole thing was wiped out clean as it never happened. I thought that he was a flake back then and I still think he's a flake now.

Someone close to him should go get your stuff for you. Monky..... You know you would have fun being a repo man! lol

As much as we all would like to be the "Collection Agent" in this situation it is between Bentsight and DWalker460.
The only thing we have ANY business in this matter is deciding if we want to do business with DWalker460.
