I was looking at the news about a recent attack in Kabul, Afghanistan when I noticed a picture of the mighty Afghan Army "fending off" the attacks. Noticed anything funny about this rifle?

Yup that's right he took a 22 to battle, I thought it was pretty hilarious. [Bang]

I also enjoy the tacticool Chinese made "laser-site" and optic too. This guy is definitely an Afghan mall ninja.

Would you ever willingly use a 22 in a gun fight?

I looked at the first pic above and knew exactly what you were talking about. Very nice observation. hahaha.

To answer your question, no i would never willingly use a 22 in a gun fight unless that was the only gun I had and was forced in to a fight.

You would be suprised, I have seen some people advocate the 22 as the best all around SHTF rifle caliber.

Me I am fine with 5.56.

SHTF as in "revolution" is different than SHTF as in "bugging out with minimal provisions".... I'd much rather have my 5.56 also, but with weight as a factor X # of rounds of 5.56 is quite a bit bulkier than .22lr... lots of threads on the subject if you want to see countless justifications for and against it hahaha.

On that same note, this is a pic of me with my Iraqi counterparts in Mosul back in 07. I did my best to convince to wear helmets during patrols. Look at the guy with the camo helmet. It is a child's plastic toy helmet.
