Battlestar Galactica actress Katee Sackoff (https://twitter.com/kateesackhoff) tweeted about gun safety rather than gun control and lost half of her Twitter followers yesterday. Sackoff’s original tweet on June 10 was in response to a story about a 4-year-old boy who fatally shot his father by accident. The boy, who had found the pistol in the family home, picked it up and pulled the trigger – hitting his 35-year-old father. And apparently that’s all it took to irk about 100,000 of her followers – who promptly deleted Sackoff from their feed.

I don't do tweeter.. but I liked her face book linked above. Anything to piss off the anti!!!! Support her please!

Good for her- she doesn't need more followers, she needs the sane, rational, smart followers. I stand with Starbuck!

I have a twitter account but don't really use it. Just added her for support.

So the people that left her twitter feed advocate gun mishandling? That doesn't seem very responsible.

She's the only thing worth watching on that crappy show (Longmire) and it was still deleted from the DVR. I may have to add it back just to give her a bump.

I actually like Longmire for some reason.

As for how many followers she has on Twitter, well, who gives a damn? We need to all quit working towards other people's acceptance or approval.

I used the search function and landed here...

My Brother-in-Law recommended Longmire to appeal to my nostalgic sensibilities. I just watched a bit of the Pilot, but had to turn it off when I hit the clip I'm posting here. I came in to post a little FU to the show and to Sackhoff in particular, but now I'm torn. I really dig the fact that she focused on the right part of the horrible tragedy above, but I'm pissed at her for perpetuating one of the gun-control agenda's loudest and most wide-spread lies in the recent assault. "...you can buy an AK-47 off the internet"

Well, uh....you CAN buy an AK-47 off the Internet, yes? Just not a full-auto one. Isn't there like a shitload of guys here that own AK's? And didn't many of them likely come from the Internet somewhere? I mean, a FTF purchase arranged from a WTS ad here on THIS site is the same thing as "buying an AK-47 off the Internet", right? And Gunbroker? And Bud's Gun Shop? And Sarco? And Auctionarms? And Colorado Gun Market? And about a million other places?

I've bought half my aks off the internet. But since the internet didn't produce them or own them...I still had to get them in person somehow. Thank god for the invention of the ffl dealer!!"
