Figured this is a good thread only for those who can help; let's keep anything else in the other two threads.
Right now, I could use someone with a motorcycle trailer. We're getting ready to start moving things to a friends house in Calhan.

I'm hauling our camper with my FJ, and it's the only vehicle with a 2" ball.

I don't have time to worry about travelling 70 miles and wasting time to rent one.
I'm stepping away to move stuff. Willyswagon has my cell phone number, if anyone might be able to help with a motorcycle trailer.
I have a pickup what type of bike you trying to haul?

I've got a Cherokee with hitch if I can be of help, PM and I can be down there in less than two hours...
Does it run? I am sure one of us could ride it. If it is a dirt bike it would only take 2 people to get it in a pickup bed.

Thanks for the offer, everyone. With this major wind shift, we're okay right now. Dropped the camper and one vehicle at a friends house. I might ride the bike over, but given the forecast, we should be alright.
Let's just hope that Colorado_Outback and the other BF member are alright.

Ah, the big one on the corner. I dont see your friends address on the Sheriffs list,
http://www.epcsheriff.com/bff/Black%20Forest%20Fire%20-%20Residences.pdf
its not listed as total loss or appears unaffected.. Its just not on there so please use discretion with the following info as the status of your friends address is UNCONFIRMED..
LippCJ7 sent me this info this am he was working the line on Hodgen yesterday.
we were working Hodgen (north)between winchester and remington which was futile we saved the house at the corner of remington and hodgen only to be burned over retreating to winchester then headed north to morgan then south again on remington hoping to make another stand but that was just not going to happen, anything west of winchester is ok as of yesterday, north of morgan was ok east of remington was ok also but when we pulled out north and east was the direction of the run, it is not a wide run either (comparatively) so I cannot say yes or no to your place we were in full retreat, if I can I will see if I can get more on your area, but remember this fire is jumping 1/4 mile in places and the wind is freaking all over the place, no consistancy at all, and we have little air support, it just wouldn't be effective on this type of fire but will work great on the backing fire on the south side.
Time to go, My families Thoughts and Prayers are with you and yours

At work we've been checking the website hourly and his home hasn't been listed. He has only been in the home for nine months, but at least he was able to evacuate his family safely. He can always build/buy another home...

This is true, PM LippCJ7 for more info. He can tell you first hand the condition of the structure last time he saw it..
Best wishes to your buddy and his family.
