I saw an ad in the classifieds and didn't want to ruin his post with my thoughts:

10/22 magnums were only made from 1998 through 2006 and had reliability and feeding issues so they were discontinued. They were and are still very hard to come by. My friend looked for a used one for 5 years before buying a 94/22 mag.

These are reliable and dead nuts accurate:

The problem is they start about $1000

For that kind of money I'd rather have an Anchultz.

For those that want them, I truely wish them good luck on finding one.

i'd buy a CZ in 22 mag and still have money for ammo before an Annie

Where'd you hear/read about the reliability and feeding issues? Just curious. I've had a 10/22 mag for a few years now but haven't experienced any problems with it. Was it the magazines or something else?

The 10/22 Magnum love CCI ammo and problems occur with everything else.
So, if you only shoot CCI ammo you won't have any problems.

I believe it was a tuning issue with the bolt weight and spring rate.

ah..gotcha. That makes perfect sense; I use CCI exclusively for the 10/22 mag and a Browning 22 rifle. My Browning wouldn't operate with anything but CCI either. Now about that 17HMr thing.....
