Another Halo... I understand continuing the series if they're getting better, but IMHO they aren't... and Microslavery needs to get their own house fixed first (ONE and all it's BS) before I'll buy into a console exclusive franchise.

I somewhat enjoyed the storyline (from what I remember) of Halo, but the actual gameplay is lame (doesn't ever really feel like I'm hitting the enemy...have to empty my magazine into practically every single enemy to kill them).

This is exactly my complaint. Sorry, but if it feels like my bullets aren't doing anything, I'm not having fun. This is why I love the COD and BF franchises, because it's realistic. So in Halo, I'm against squishy aliens that I can kill with two or three melee bashes, but somehow high velocity rounds from my futuristic rifle do very little? WTF?

I remembered being excited for the Halo 3 multi-player. I played the beta and was like... that's it? It feels just like Halo 2 with dual wielding. Then, right after that, the CoD4: Modern Warfare beta dropped and my mind was blown. The interaction, realism and graphics left Halo in the dust and showed me what a FPS should look like on that system and I felt hornswaggled by Halo. The Halo franchise got worse from that point forward (the trilogy ended the original story line) and CoD has only got better with a few growing pains along the way. I even thought this last Halo (Halo 4) was going to be a departure from the crap and gave it one last try. Fail. Same shit. Different skin.

I lost interest in CoD after...don't remember which version, one of the later ones (not Black Ops). Jumped into a game...and left soon thereafter after our _whole_ team was being farmed by _one_ guy with dual shotguns, scavenger, and we were all spawning in roughly the same area over and over and over.

Battlefield is my preferred FPS of choice. I'm looking forward to 4 and destroying large buildings!
