View Full Version : Leather workers?
First: mods, I apologize as I knew not where to place this...
Second: is there anyone on the forum that does leather work? I need two items and budget is a problem, lets talk.
Third: this is an amazing forum, I learn so much. Thanks!
What's up? I might not be Mr. Leather, but I might be able to help you do whatever it is that you want on your own.... or maybe I can help personally... What's up?
Few guys on here do leather! I prefer to work on live skin myself.
Well, I need a specific belt and a small pouch made. I have the belt, or a piece of leather to use as a belt (2 inch wide, 72 inch long) but don't have a buckle or rivets or a way to make holes in the leather for the buckle besides a knife. I also need a small pouch to hold valve oil, keys, wallet, etc...
Basically it's for a renaissance period costume. I'm one of the trumpeters again this year at the fest and need a belt and pouch.
Thoughts?
I don't have a lot of money but I'm sure we can work something out. Let me know if you're interested.
As far as the live skin comment from sniper... I have a few inlaws you can practice on... just sayin'.... HA.
I do leather work and have even created viking and medieval looking armor and pieces before but honestly don't know anything about a trumpeters belt. Would need a reference of some type. Could possibly make the buckle too since steel is also what we work with.
Badger
Badger, there isn't a "trumpeter's belt" or anything. No template. Just 2 inch wide, 72 inch long. I have that piece. Just need a buckle and holes drilled (around 50-54 inch) and a small pouch? Interested? How can I pay you? etc. Take to PM if need be.
