Does anyone have any suggestions for a holster brand or style for wearing when on a motorcycle? Tried searching with no luck.

Not worried about IWB or OWB. Either works.

Do you not just use your Longhorn on there? I rock my Longhorn and haven't had any issues. Ideally I'd like to have something over the top of it but mine is very secure and I've even gone down and my M&P stayed in place.

Fobus paddle.

Don't have to worry about sweat or rain.
Easy to re-position on the fly.
light weight.
Cheap.

Israelis design stuff that just works.

I have found a shoulder holster effective and comfortable on a bike. Either that or I have a set of Leathers with a built in holster. I find belt holsters tend to get exposed on a bike, and make for something very hard to land on if you should come off your bike in a crash.

have you considered a leg holster if you don't care about concealed?

Skip the fobus and get bladetech.

Or get a riding jacket with a big inside pocket. Line pocket w Velcro and get a maxpedition slide holster.

I never liked carrying on my waist due to the wind pushing my jacket up. Pocket carry made me paranoid it'd fall out in the road. I usually used a tank bag.

I usually use my shoulder rig when I'm on the bike. I've been considering an ankle holster though too.

Never mind. I didn't notice who the OP was.

There is a horizontal bar on the back of your windshield. Not too difficult to use some of the existing bolts in it to rig up something to mount any holster too. Open carry there when you ride then just tuck it into whatever you normally do when you get off the bike.

I've used my shoulder rig under my jacket and it works well.. I just don't see myself getting to it in a hurry... gloves.. zippers..

So lately, on my bike I've been carrying appendix, with a KSB holster for a G19/23 and it works very very well. Comfy and easy to get to even w/ gear on. I've got a sport bike and have no issues. I don't see any issues on your fat boy, as it's how I've been carrying in my car as well. Once you get positioning down so you don't squish your nuts...

I don't know what you carry..but if you'd like to give it a go and try it out.. you know where I live.

I use a crossbreed super tuck IWB and a don hume OWB with snap. It survived my wreck and still use the Don Hume to this day.
Never had issues with the pistol moving in the super tuck either and I ride sportbikes

Tank bag. BUT since you're riding a fatgurl install a windshield tool bag. oddly enough i have a mesh riding jacket [ XL] with inside pocket. Worked great for hand gun carry.

I was thinking about this last night - happy the thread already started. Looks like I'll go with the tank bag idea... do you put it in something in the tank bag or just leave it floating in there?

I asked the same question a few months back, and got some good advice. Link to thread below:

Most vests have gun pockets. Mine works just fine for me.

I would think any quality hip holster would do fine inside or outside the waistline. Ive rode ATV and horse with my usual everyday IWB holster and had no issues whatsoever. A quality holster than fits the gun is all you need.

I typically carry in a vest from Coronado Leather or a Galco ankle glove.

I've had great luck using the cheesy universal vinyl holsters with retention strap, and then backing them with industrial Velcro. You may consider this for your tank bag. I think you could walk out of Wally world with all the items you need for around $15.

I use an OWB Don Hume holster and a Crossbreed Supertuck IWB depending on where I am going after I get off my bike. I was in a wreck with the Don Hume and it held up well and I didnt get any injuries from the gun or holster.
