Not smooth. I've done this with my cellphone at work before - leave it on top of the toilet paper dispenser. You think someone would be a bit more responsible with their GLOCK...

*rolleyes at the "So a 9-year-old's hands are the right hands" comment* Seeing as how that 9yo was responsible....much better his hands than a criminal who says "Free gun!"

I was thinking the exact same thing! Actually MSN reporter, a responsible 9 year old's, who has been taught proper firearms safety, are the right hands. [facepalm] Again, more proof journalism is dead.

I'm always tapping my pockets as I walk through the halls at work... One day as we were walking to the weight room the boss asked me why I did that. I told him it was to make sure I had everything. He immediately stopped and turned around. He forgot his phone on his desk. Which is damn near as bad in my building.

Again...the police are the only ones qualified to have firearms.

Yah...I couldn't even type it with a strait face.

Heh, I am very similar, tapping my pockets for my keys. The ONE time I forgot was, of course, the time I locked myself out of my apartment >< (realized it just as the door clicked shut).

Yeah, that sucks. BTDT with the AC running full blast. Sure was nice and cool in there when we finally got back in!

Locked myself out of a little telecom building in west Texas once, which REALLY sucked, because those things are made very secure. We didn't have cellphones then, so I had to hike several miles to a gas station, call a tech with a key whoe was several hours away, then wait for him to come and open the damn door for me. A very humbling experience. A least I had a cooler full of beverages in my van, some smokes and a lawn chair, and a little shade.

Done that to. The door stop didn't hold. Locked all my tools, keys, and my Nextel in the electrical/telecom room of a "High Tech" apartment building in Boulder... I did learn how to card a door that day though...

Clearly the cop was not taught proper handling technique in the toilet. Always use the underwear hammock or just leave it in the holster.

Not my pic, pulled from arfcom.

Underwear hammock is the only way to go. Leaving it in the holster makes it go all floppy. Can't be floppy... Floppy is a no go.
