Really fun match today. Great seeing some old friends again.

Based on the feedback we got about having an AR only Team Match we will try to figure something out. Not sure what, how or when.

The 9:00 match is full but there is some room in the noon match.

For the months of June, July and August we will only run one match instead of the normal 9:00 and noon matches to beat the heat a little bit.

Just so everyone can shoot, we bumped up the available slots for the 9:00 match by 10 shooters so most everyone can still play. But this way your match staff that gets there at 6:30 in the morning isnt dead tired when we wrap up the noon match around 3:30.

If you want me to move you into the 9:00 match please let me know or you can go ahead and sign up for the 9:00 match.

Well that was a fun match today, first time I have run an iron sighted AK for an entire match (not just a side gig at a pistol match). Guess I should have signed up as 'limited' as well as AK?

My favorite match of the year. Everyone comes out and his a good low stress time with friends.

As far as signing up, AK was the proper call as you only get to pick one.

We will do it again next October just like always.

Just a reminder that June July and August we go to only one match that starts at 9:00. But... we bump up the slots to 36 so everyone can shoot but not get killed by the afternoon heat.

The AK vs AR match was awesome as always. We took the 9:00 and 12:00 matches and combined them into one. Then we added up the team results to give away plaques to the top 3 teams.

AKs of any flavor suck. Lots of recoil, lousy triggers for the most part and lots of sharp edges.

I shot my normal 18 inch AR in the morning match and a 308 bolt gun for the noon match.

Yes AK's with iron sights suck but they are fun to mess around with once a year.
