View Full Version : Where to find a 20in pencil barrel, as in an m16a1 barrel?
I've gotten the urge to build an m16a1 clone. Seems APEX Gun Parts has most of the period correct pieces minus the barrel. Anyone know where I could find a parkerized 20in pencil barrel? I'd prefer a Colt barrel but I'd settle for a decent quality barrel from another manufacturer. Twist rate doesn't matter either. While a 1/12 would be correct it's not a deal breaker if it's 1/7 or 1/9. I'm going for looks more than technical correctness. Not like it's going to have a proper Colt lower any ways.
Or does someone know where I could buy a surplus m16a1 upper? Prefer one with the tear drop forward assist.

The BCM barrel is an A2/Govt profile, not A1. A2 profile barrels are easy to find. A1, not so much. As for the other upper parts, APEX has parts in much better condition.
Thanks for the education, i did not know that.
Mckay international. I just ordered one.
