Per a contact in the know in the area, the final score of the Hippie Fest is:
3 deaths
14 overdoses
Over 100 assaults
3 rapes
Had to call in extra ambulances to run hippies to Denver all weekend long
Now a bunch of hippies are calling in death threats to Georgetown dispatch for tazing the high hippie. The guy got hit with 9 cycles and it didn't affect him.
I think that is a win! I wish the ambulance drivers were hippies too and didn't want to leave and let the overdoses eat it as well!
I can only think of all this with a cartman voice going on in the back of my mind

Is that all? Damn slackers.....
Was this a rainbow family gathering?
When they had one of these gatherings in Steamboat the county judge went out into the camp to hold court because they knew none of the hippies would show up for their court dates

Far out, man.
The Family Gathering is in northern MT this year.
Yes, I know these things. We get slammed with the dregs of society about two weeks before the event. The closer it is to CO the worse we get slammed.
My favorite story was when they were going to hold the gathering on a patch of BLM land. A neighboring rancher told the forward crew the he had the grassing rights to that section and that they were not allowed to set anything up. They didn't listen. The rancher ran about 200 head of cattle through the camp. I only hope this is a true story.
Is the Family Gathering the Juggalos?

Not quite as bad. It's the Rainbow Family, more or less a moving hippie commune.
Not generally violent (drug-induced freakouts aside) but usually baked off of their asses with an unfortunate amount of stealing anything that isn't nailed down and sleeping on your couch whether you invited them in or not.
I'd take the Rainbows over the frakking juggalos any day.

Sounds like a good start.

Up here they get treated about the same. Even the local hippies can't stand the family.

I knew nothing of this Rainbow group you guys speak of, so I googled it. One of their goals is "expanded tolerance", I say we round up a couple hundred folks to attend one of these rainbow pow wows, all open carrying, wonder how well they'd tolerate that?

I was going to say 230 grains, but the idea is the same. I also like the cattle stampede idea.

62 grains would be enough. [AR15]
I'm sure enough here have 4x4's, dirt bikes and atv's to make their stay pretty miserable. Sadly, I don't have those kinds of toys. Kid with cancer is expensive, even 3 years later in remission.

REPOST... kind of... [Coffee]

But yeah, I pissed off a lot of my friends who are into that scene last week when I made some less than nice comments about the naked hippie getting tazed. I think the most common comment I made was "Play stupid games [on acid], win stupid prizes." Oh and you'd never see this kind of crap at Cheyenne Frontier Days, by the way.

I know it is kind of a repost. I posted my stats in that thread and it looked like they weren't getting any views. I thought it was interesting enough to start its own post.

Yeah I got ya! [Beer]
I just am shocked, and I know I know, I've been critical of LE in some instances, but I see Georgetown PD/Clear Creek County SO did nothing wrong that weekend, and yet everyone thinks it's so horrible that naked guy got tazed. I just love it when people know absolutely nothing about law enforcement chime in with their ignorant opinion about how getting tazed 9 (I heard 7) times is messed up. Granted I'm no expert, but I've spent enough time around LE to know that what happened here is not excessive, it's well within procedure. I even have a friend from here who is now living in Israel post on FB a link to the video and then the non-emergency phone # for Clear Creek Sheriff and calling for this officer to be fired. Now that is just a little too far.
