Well it turned into a flame war on me and Texans or conservatives in general, because the German lady from California was all "I know those Texas conservative un-educated rednecks will go the border with their shotguns and shoot people near the border of Cali, Mexico and, Tex."
Everyone else were like "OMG, the rednecks deserve to burn!"
I rebutted "You got photo or video of that happening?"
Her response "You have accept their ignorance racist ideal and forgotten your roots, you are not at liberty to talk here!"
The end result was a total flame war on me, like i'm the one pretending to be smart but actually ignorant... I doubt I will get anything higher than a C now, since, well the professor hates me.
Normally the ex-marine guy(Texan) are on the conservative side of arguments, but he didn't show up today. Glad he didn't, he would not liked it one bit.

Back when I was in university, we'd occasionally have some fuckwit in class, usually an older person with too much time on their hands "auditing" a course for something to do, who would try to monopolize class time whenever they could by lecturing everyone about their ignorant uninformed views on politics or religion. Only once do I recall a "flame war" like what you're describing.
It was an American History course and the discussion was on slavery, which rapidly degraded to "all the white people should piss on their ancestors graves and give blacks everything they own and beg their forgiveness" (and actually that was a foreigner as well, from South America I believe), and the whole classroom (mostly young white women) seemed to agree that white people were really bad and needed to feel guilty. Then this one guy got really pissed off and said, "My grandparents came over from Czechoslovakia and never owned any slaves", whereupon I realized that my great grandparents came over from Ireland in the 1890s, long after slavery, and were dirt poor. This shut everyone up for a few moments, before the foreigner started claiming that we still needed to accept "our share of the blame" due to our "white privilege" . . . if it was a guy saying that I would've kicked his ass.
I have also had experience with a similar class in college. Funny you said you will probably get a C at best. No matter what I did on my papers and assignments every single one got a C. [LOL] I even got an A in every single other class that semester and I never got below a B in high school. I appealed it to the dean and the response I got was that if the instructor feels that my writing is at a C level then that's the grade I will get. Good luck in that gay class. You should just have a bunch of the guys from the forum sit in on lecture one day for backup.

Wrote a paper on how bombing Japan was a good thing, as we had been reading a book about the bombing. "Prof" gave just enough of a grade I didnt have to take the class again. I still remember the look on his face, 20 years later, and he was red hot! Wanted us to all be sympathetic to what we did to the Japanese. "It's war, we won, we saved thousands of American lives. We did our job well." Was basically the jist of the paper. I think it was supposed to be something like "how I feel about bombing the japanese in ww2"
Had I taken the class now, I would have gone to the dean and explained the situation, the one sidedness, and got the grade bumped up. If I were you, that's exactly what I would do. And explain how the prof is trying to change your opinion, and running the class with no data, no facts, just emotion and opinion. Heck youve got nothing to loose, prof hates you already! [ROFL1]

Dude, you may be getting a "C" because this is a very incoherent statement. Not trying to be a dick, but.... Maybe you should spend more time studying, instead of arguing with people who's opinion you will not be able to change.

Actually I have an A+ as of right now, but the professor turn down my aarguments a lot. When the class is upper division argument, I should be free to express my opinion and disagree with others. She claim to seen rednecks shooting Mexicans, I asked prove, not to0 much to ask. Martin Lurther King used Bible examples to prove his point, and that's what we have to learn from the class, not some asshurtin Cali German lady's claim.

I participated in a college class like that, once. My assertion was that my ancestors were from Norway, of Viking stock and did a lot of Irish and English oppression and slavery. How did they feel about white-on-white oppression? They also were not pleased when I brought up the fact that they were ignoring black-on-black oppression in Africa (which is still going on) and they tried like hell to make me feel bad for my roots. *shrug* I stem from conquering nations that eventually got its ass kicked. It's what conquering nations do. You can't "make it didn't happen" nor should you have to apologize for your skin color.

Well, I actually look back on getting permanently kicked out of one of my college classes during my senior year with a bit of pride but that's a story for another day.
When those stupid typical left-wing campus uneducated liberal fuktards start saving and get a taste of LITTLE money, lots of those same fuktards will start turn themselves into conservatives. At least some tend to do that about 10 years after they graduate.

Had to rewrite a paper and be told how complaints to the professor and administration had piled in during an assignment for "Sociology in Delinquent Behavior" course. I wrote a paper that I was then asked to summarize for the class about the emasculation of contemporary American males. I pointed out the former work ethic of men in blue collar jobs (steel mills, auto plants, etc.), the don't-hurt-their-feelings, be-their-buddy approach to BCT/Boot camp nowadays, the taboo of actually being physically fit and capable of defending one's self, amongst observations on gay and effeminate culture being jammed down our throats.
Had a retired Marine and a farm boy come up to me and say they were glad I did it after the whole thing was said and done.

English is not my native language, plus i kinda typed the post fast after class.
I am taking an online sociology class and am butting heads with the professor on a regular basis.
You don't get away with sharing your beliefs in communism, feminism, anti war and apologize for being white and get away with it. At least I'm tactful.

I told the instructor in a class i was auditing. IF i wanted to hear sports talk for 45 minutes, id' turn on the radio, instead of trying to learn something. She looks at me and ask why am in the course.
"Well i thought it was to learn about computers not get fucked around by some liberal savant". Outside of myself, no one will speak up because they need this class and your intimidation of college age kids is an embarrassment to education and CSU.

This is why I'm hesitant to use my GI Bill and go back to school- from what my brother is telling me about his classes and friends who are going back to school I should stay away, never pet a burning dog.

Urban, are you at CSU? If so, I guess you're not in the business department. Thankfully, most of my profs there were conservative (the few more liberal ones weren't too pushy about it).
Perhaps next time they talk about rednecks going to shoot up people, ask them what time is their orgy and free birth control party [LOL]

If i wanted indoctrination i would have registered as a democrat. I don't mince my words ESPECIALLY when the instructor is using intimidation / threats of failing grades if they didn't bow down at her alter of stupidity. I know there were lots of nervous , muted hands clapping when i went off.

Reading this I have to admit I am glad I went to a conservative "private" school ( BYU-Idaho) it wasn't very often that I had to deal with any of the BS that guys are seeing in State schools. Only one I ever ran into that was out in left field was a world civilizations profes. Guy was a dip shit. It was during the first Obummer election and he praised him as a savior. When it turned to politics one day I voiced my opinion that Obummer was going to be the worst thing to happen to the USA since the civil war. Within a week my grade went from a 98% to 75% and stayed there the rest of the semester.

School is important. Usually, Econ (mainly macro side), PoliSci, Sociology; basically social sci are politically elastic relative to other subjects.
Economics profs are very cautious relative to other social sci profs.
I have never heard prof talking about political issues, agenda, opinions in Physics, Chemistry, Engineering, and Math classes. :)
I've heard the worst of all political junky subject is Women's studies.
Keep going hard after them. Dont back down. Just be informed and ready to spew facts. If that fails ask then how well their California ideals are doing for taxes, education, and fiscal responsibility. Finish by asking why they are in school here and not in california.

I don't think nearly that many... But Russia didn't liberate N. Africa, France, Italy (kind of) and Belgium... not to mention also fighting the Japanese at the same time. Yeah, I think we won, us being the US, UK, CAN, AUS, and French Resistance.

Lesson I learned very early going to college (from my roommate): Do not be a man taking women's studies... and especially don't be a conservative man taking that course.
Frankly, I have no idea why anyone would take a class entitled "women's studies." I never felt the yen to take a course with that title. It just sounds like trouble.

That is why I used my GI Bill to finish my degree at Colorado Christian University.
Even did a paper and presentation on the perils of gay marriage - for a Human Sexuality course - most disgusting course I've ever taken - learn everything you never wanted to know about deviant sexual behaviors.
Only professor I had trouble with was a Lutheran minister "teaching" an Ethics course who decided his Lutheran interpretation of Biblical ethics was the only correct one. However, I was able to back-up my arguments with numerous references and left him little room to ding me - pulled off an A.
There are plenty of conservative Universities available in which to spend your money, enjoy your education, and actually learn something of value.

Just before Winter hit, the Russians pulled back and the Nazis went full speed ahead, as deep into Russia as they could go . . . then it suddenly got down to subzero temperatures and snow started piling up by the foot and they were trapped way behind enemy lines without Winter gear or wool uniforms, with a bunch of vehicles that were breaking down and weapons that were jammed frozen . . . and after waiting a couple weeks for them to run low on provisions and fuel and begin taking casualties from hypothermia, the Russians finally attacked. It wasn't anywhere near 90%, but it was a lot.

My memory is a bit rusty, but...
That's a post war propaganda. The USSR army were encircled and being cut to pieces.. Those who escaped the encirclements back to the ussr new front line were punished and stamped as coward/traitor. When the massive retreat cannot be covered up anymore, the USSR claimed it was part of the grand strategy. The winter did halt the advance.
Only after the winter 1941-42, the USSR abandoned the static defensive strategy and started to employ multiple line defense and rapid armored counter attack.

Yeah, I've taken Economic classes, the professors are from Business School, they are thinking in the right minds as far as I can tell.

I was too stupid to know any better in pre-pharmacy. In pharmacy school pretty apolitical in all classes. By the time grad school came around I was older and wiser. Had some great debates of universal health care vs market. I did my research and countered all the arguments against universal hc every time it came up. I did not feel that my opinions were jeopardizing my grades.
But what I wouldn't give to audit a sociology or woman's study class just to ruin the professor's semester of indoctrination.

This, I was going to school a few years back for a management degree at night after working full time during the day and a second job on the weekends. We had some dipshit professor that wanted to turn the Ancient and Midevil History class into the Bash George Bush and Liberal Current Events class. One night the class as a whole had enough. One of the older guys in the class stood up, handed him a slip of paper with his cell number, and said when you're ready to get back to Ancient and Midevil History give me a call. Then everyone but the 2 kids in the class that were only in it because they didn't want to drag their asses out of bed in the daylight, got up and walked out. We were all pretty much adults working full time I was one of the younger ones at about 24 yrs old at the time. I took down names of the students that walked out and talked to them all to get their OK to hand the list to the Dean. The professor was fired as we were all in an accelerated program through a Catholic Private College and paying top dollar for our education. I put it pretty blutly to the dean that I was a paying customer and was not even remotely getting what I was paying for, along with the explaination of what had been going on. Dude was canned the next day.
Sadly most of the institutions of "higher education" have completely forgotten the fact that the students are paying customers and have a right to the education they are paying for. The professors aren't infalable and need to be held to a standard of customer service.

They got new territories, satellite states that supported them, a bunch of German scientists and technology. Compare that to the US - did we get territory? A few islands and some bases overseas. A few allies that are still around today. We pumped a bunch of money into Europe via the Marshall Plan. We rebuilt Japan and handed it back.
All I'm saying is that an argument can be made.

CU undergrad business school.
I think they only had classes starting Mon-Thurs till about 2003. Therefore, they can drunk 3 nights, instead of 2 nights.
