Match Entry Giveaway Help

I/Tacticool Apparel would like to giveaway/pay for one or a couple (depending on cost) match entries. The problem is when it comes to matches I know zero. So some questions for you in the know.

1. What match would most of you like to win an entry to?
2. Is there be any foreseeable issue with me (a third party) registering the winner(s)

I run several major matches and I often have sponsors or third parties donate/pay for entries of other persons, so to Q2, no. Usually juniors and mil are requested.

If you are doing this for advertising/marketing, you really need to look at the match styles and see where your products would fit best. Just guessing a skeet shoot won't give you good mileage. Honestly, if you are looking at local matches, just come on out and give a few things away with the permission of the MD. We run almost everything at CRC as does Weld, and Pueblo.

Most major matches are sold out a few months ahead of the match, some sell out in a day or so. Majors are typically from $100 on up to $300 (Except rimfire which is a lot less).

Thank you for the info. I'm just looking to do this as something cool/fun for the forum members here. While I would ask that the winner wear a provided shirt and snap some pics, I'm not looking for any real marketing/advertising out of it. Just a little give back to the community here. I'm probably capped at $75-100 so that might put out some of the majors then.

Main issue I see is if the winner has the required/proper gear for the match. Does no good to win an entry if you only have two mags and no holster, for example. I won a free class with ColoCCW on here once, bit I didn't have a rifle so I had to pass.

That's a good point, though I would hope someone entering a contest for a match entry would have what the match requires.
