I'm going to post links to my eBay auctions as well... This is NOT advertising. It's just for advice on what I can do to maybe get these sold.

I have these two things. Looking to see if anyone knows more about them than i do.

First is an original R. Danford oil on canvas painting.

Original Roy Danford Parker oil on canvas painting. 36"x24".

This exquisite, original oil painting on canvas is by listed artist Roy Danford Parker. Danford was an American artist born in 1882. He is known for his landscape and mountainous waterfall scenes. This particular piece is in good condition with a nice frame but would benefit from a cleaning upon arrival.

This is a beautiful mountain scene featuring deer and a waterfall.

There are two small spots of damage wick are pictured. These are hard to notice unless you're looking for them and could easily be repaired.

The frame is in good condition for its age. There are a few dings which is to be expected.

Similar paintings are listed for over $600.

Now is your chance to get an original painting at a great price.

Then these Kosta Boda limited edition wine glasses...

Here we have a beautiful and perfect matching set of Kosta Boda limited edition wine glasses.

These glasses are hand painted and no two sets are alike. These glasses were designed by Ulrica Hyman-Vallien for Kosta Boda.

This limited edition set is no longer available and is very hard to come by. Other limited edition Kosta Boda sets retail at $230 or more. Other sets like these have been listed for as much as $270.

Now is your chance to get a pair of beautiful limited edition Kosta Boda glasses for a very good price.

More pictures will be available in the coming days.

International shipping is ok but buyer will pay actual costs.

Since the "what is it worth" section idea never came about... I guess I'll post this here.

I didn't pay anywhere near what they're worth. So selling them at lower than worth won't be a huge deal. I just need them gone.

The painting more than anything. It's huge and I don't have room for it.

What's the same unit SELLING for? Dump it and re-invest in something that's an easy mover. ART Rarely sells, especially in todays economic market.

Hah, so true, yet there are those who think "White paint on white canvas" is somehow brilliantly introspective etc.

Edit: I remember a story on NPR a week or two ago about some online art dealership, art as an investment or something like that. Sorry I can't remember more, but perhaps their archives'd have it. Could be a resource to use.

Dude... It's a one of one painting... Ain't no "same unit".

The glasses, no one has them... There is only one other set on eBay.. The yellow on is chipped and they want over $200.

JM, I think what he means to say is that if no one buy's it, what's it worth? How many people are buying art right now? Just keep an eye on those glasses, and other paintings on ebay, or whatever other auction places there are. I don't think too many people care about paintings right now, it's not the right market set. It doesn't matter if it is a one of a kind in a hard market, what would matter is if it was a known artist, well known artist... If I'm wrong, that's awesome for you! You would have better luck trying to find a forum, or art gallery that you could sell with and actually hit your target audience (which is people who have enough money to burn on expensive shit that hangs on the wall). Most people are into things that are useful right now, as most are still suspicious of the economy. There are three things that a few investment bankers have told me will always sell, guns, alcohol, and women (hookers). Art falls into none of those categories.

Frank McCarthy "Single File" signed 751/1000 lithograph. Worth 700-$1000 in a gallery, highest bid on eBay.... $20. Like the peeps here have said, it's what the market will bear.

well.. no one buys art via eBay.. You need to find an auction house or a gallery that specializes in the type of art that you are selling and that will sell them for you. Of course they will want a percentage of the proceeds.

As a full time artist/painter, I can tell you it is tough to sell art these days. If you do, it will be on the lower end of a market rate. You may want to check here for some resources. You may find that your painting is worth more than you are thinking, mconsidering the age. http://art-collecting.com/appraisals.htm

I'd put a minimum on it, and you should do ebay searches to see what that sold for, but I don't think your gonna do very well with the painting.

That McCarthy print should sell for a couple hundred at least. It it were Indians, it would sell for alot more. Thats just his US calvery one.

Is the McCarthy signed? $250-350.00 Put a reserve on it.

I'm not worried about "doing well." With the amount I paid for it, a pmag will put me ahead.
