Just wondering if anyone else has or has on preorder any of the Survive! Knives from Guy Seiferd? I have the GSO 5 on preorder and should see it within a few weeks. These are awesome utility/survival knives. Check them out if you get a chance.

What does it do that an ESEE LS wont?
They look nice. Unfortunately, they are priced a bit out of my comfort level.
Let me know what you think of it after you get it.
I was wondering the same thing Russ, looks like an ESEE 5???

Or a Becker BK2.
A lot of knives look similar. If it was priced competitively I would probably add one to my small collection. But, since I don't see where it offers anything cool or exciting over similar designs, I can't see paying a premium price for one.
ESEE good.
Doesn't look like any SK are even in.
Try these also.

Greco knives. Google is your friend.

I noticed you can get them with a sparker slot, or a divot for a firebow.

I like them... course I view quality knives like guns. You can't have too many...
Pricy though.

They are expensive. I did get in on promotional pricing though. 20% off or so. But, it really is proportional to the market. CPM 3V is superior to 1095 in many ways and is more expensive to manufacture so price is relational. While its not as easy to sharpen as 1095, it is easier to sharpen then D2 yet it is a 60-62 RC. Holds a mean edge as well. They all have their place, I'm a huge fan of 1095 by the way and am a bit of an esee and Becker whore. This GSO will be my primary survival knife finding a happy home on my pack.
I'll put pics up when I get it.
You know brothers, just a question of curiousity.
Now i've got an ESEE, RAT, Busse, but for the money of a Busse;
Why not have a custom knife made to your personal Specifications?
Handle material and shape. Blade material, hardness, contour, grind, size, finish, etc.
Because for Busse money, you can have a NICE knife made.

Very true. Not a bad idea, might have to start designing.
