So I finally got my grubby hands on a poly lower to go with my poly upper AR-22lr....
since it does not need a buffer or spring has anyone seen a solid buffer "tube" ?
my google fu is failing me .

you don't need to use any internals or solid tube, The 22 BC group is self contained.

yeah ... I just think that after a "while" of riding against the buffer retainer spring it will bust it... and I figure a "solid" tube would be cheaper then a tube, spring and buffer...
Just plug it with something from home depot?

There are "Pressure Plugs"-

It doesn't ride against anything that pressure isn't on already. The impact from the buffer is greater than the impact if any from a 22 conversion. Actually while looking at the back of the 22 BCG the upper tab rest against the buffer tube, not the buffer retainer. Either run w/out or get one of the side folding conversion units for it. You're building a better mousetrap when there is no need for it.

your right it does hit the top of the lower where the tube screws in so it's not just using the retaining pin ....
I was trying to build a better mouse trap LOL ...
After seeing that I'll just build the new poly lower like a normal lower so I can switch uppers in a hurry if there was ever a need........
