...essentially grandfathering them in before they are even old enough to own a gun. That's part of the reason I purchased more than enough for me...I'm grandfathering in the whole family!

I looked it up and could not find a legal age restriction for a gun accessory. Let me know if there is one that I'm not aware of.

Taking video of it for proof

I just bought one tonight...june 30th...will i be grandfathered in too....I wont actually have it in my hands when the law goes into effect. Having it delivered by snail mail.

Good idea on the video, however I'm being a bit more abrasive on the issue. My son was born 30May13, they can try and prove I didn't gift them to him today (which I did) for his one month b-day.

I even used the screen on my phone to show the date.

Each boy received quite a few mags in various calibers and platforms, so I wanted at least some proof. I suppose the REALLY thorough thing to do would be to put them in a trust with specifics, but as you said...the burden of proof is on them.

Yeah I think a trust would have been the way to go, it just hasn't been in the cards for me.

Hear hear. Tool pictures of piles of mags for wife and kids. Emailed the pic to myself to date stamp. Worth a shot?

I would probably keep that to yourself. I wonder if they xray the package and see a mag if they will call it in a seize it.

Wouldn't that be an invasion of privacy?
The government would never do that!
