JEFFERSON COUNTY, Colo. - A level one evacuation order was sent to 119 homes from South Platte to Deckers in Jefferson County for a new wildfire.
The Willow Bend Fire is on the east face of Long Scraggy Peak.
The pre-evacuation order went to a four mile radius of the peak.
"Residents close by are asked to stay alert and BE READY to leave if necessary," said a tweet from the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office.
The Forest Service and North Fork Fire Department are responding, officials said.
A helicopter is already above the fire to drop water, officials said.

Looks like they got their link fixed...

We just got some for a bit, but it didn't last long... We need some good, non-electrical, sustained rain for about 4 hours just to soak everything nice and good.

I was up there less then a month ago, how sad.

ETA: Sounds like they already have helicopters en route.
