View Full Version : Harris Park near Bailey

Hello All -

I have heard many mixed things. Does anyone know if Harris Park up near Bailey is closed? I read there was an order that closed it down until 2015 on the USFS website.

If you are in the know, please enlighten me on the status.

I was up there just before the fireban shooting, and went up the day the fire ban went into effect with a plan to just shoot lead bullets. They had a sign that said it was closed for all firearms due to the fire ban. I'm sure it will reopen once we get some moisture.

EDIT: Should have read the previous post first. Now I am curious as well.

Yep, that is one of the ones I was talking about. There is another pdf on their website which is in color and basically has the same information in a different format. I am going to just call the Ranger's office and see what they have to say - I will post back what they say. I would do it now, but you know they don't start "working" until 9AM.

Just looked at fire bans and there are no restrictions for Park County. Anyone know if Harris park is open to shoot?

Yes it was suppose to be last weekend. But due to the ban and my health issues it kind of got lost. Let me check the calendar and I will set a new date.
