Has anyone built their own muzzle brakes? Is this a bad idea? I have had a few built, and for the price, it must be a lot of work with some expensive tools. I am trying to find a Levang style Linear compensator for my .308, but have been unsuccessful so far. I would like the Kies Blast Master, but can't find it in stock anywhere. It will be close to a year before I can get everything ready ready for my can, and the Vais that is on it requires two sets of hearing protection. If unable to find the Kies or comparable, I may go to just a thread protector. I'm interested in building my own because I like to tinker with things.
