View Full Version : Graphics for Shadow Ops lower
Hey guys, I ordered a couple of those Shadow Ops stripped lowers a while back. They let you provide your own custom graphics for the magwell. Here's what I've come up with:
3106331065
With the "peace, war, tyranny" fire control indicators. The one on the left will be on the left side, the one on the right will be on the right side.
Thoughts? I have not yet submitted them but need to do so soon.

I like the idea. The "peace, war, tyranny" is clever. I think the design could use a little work, though. It just looks a little thin, if that makes sense. I think a colonial looking text for the Latin would look good with a graphic like this:

I like that graphic! And good points on the text.
Why the foreign language? Make it English or American so people can understand it.
I have gone away from the molon labe phrase and switched to "Come and take them" because it has more American heritage behind it and more people understand it.
My opinion. For What it's Worth.

I just googled "mountain peak outline" or something like that. There are a ton of similar graphics.

That's a good point. The Latin is cool, but if it was written in 'Merican it would be more, well, 'Merican.

Both of these phrases originate in Latin and it's how they are most commonly used.

Yeah, I would keep the Latin, but beef up the fonts and graphic as noted by another already.

What could be more un-American than Latin phrases like "DE OPPRESSO LIBER" "SEMPER FIDELIS" "Semper Paratus" "Non sibi sed patriae"?
Revised, thanks for the feedback. I'm also thinking about fire control indicators being different on each side. Thoughts on those?
31387For left side with "peace, war, tyranny" fire control indicator
31389For right side with "subject, citizen, freeman" fire control indicator.
I'm not sold on the "freeman" indicator for the right side. Thought about "sovereign", but "freeman" ties to the logo better (as does "tyranny" on the left side). Not a particular fan of the sovereign citizen and/or freeman movements, as they appear to be populated by idiots, but I like the concept.
Would be open to other ideas for right side fire control selector, preferably with the full-auto/selective fire position being "free". "Subject, citizen, free" doesn't work because the word "free" isn't the same type of word as the other two. "Slavery, citizenship, freedom"? Help me out.
