View Full Version : New Gun Laws: I Was Wrong About Them

I'm big enough to admit when I'm wrong...most of the time. I was wrong about the new gun laws. I was with many of you who said they'd do nothing to stop crime, it was only liberal feel good legislation that would only inconvenience the law-abiding and do nothing to thwart criminals.

Well, I was wrong.

It's been almost a week since the new laws went into effect. As of today I have not been assaulted by anyone who used a gun with a greater than 15 round magazine capacity and I haven't been assaulted by anyone who didn't go through a background check to get their gun.

See? It is working.

You're right...I've not heard about anyone being killed with an assault rifle.

These new laws are great. I'll have a warm fuzzy right along with ya. Man, feels good don't it?

Nothing has happened to me either. Maybe the criminal magazines know that I am close friends with their cousins so that family tie is keeping me safe.

So, are you saying I was wrong about being wrong? I have some pretty hard evidence to back up the fact I was right about being wrong.

Being in good with relatives is a good thing. Never thought about that angle, nice.

Yes, you are wrong about being wrong.

Before the new gun laws, 99.9999999% of firearms were not used in any crimes. 99.9999999% of firearm owners didn't harm anyone.

After the new gun laws, 99.9999999% of firearms were not used in any crimes. 99.9999999% of firearm owners didn't harm anyone.

Status quo with significate violation of our natural RKBA protected by the Second Amendment.

I have felt much safer and don't even lock my doors anymore!
I have considered taking the chop saw to my guns to get them off the street.
We can begin to heal and learn to live in peace with criminals from this day forward.

Does anyone know of a place where I can donate my guns to the United Nation Peace Keepers so they may continue to do good all around the world?

I'd be happy to drop them off for you, so just wait until I get my BGC and drop 'em off with me.

Yeah, but they just throw them away when they are done so you don't have to worry about the ones already in circulation because they will all be gone soon...

I was riding my motorcycle this morning and was almost killed by a high capacity Toyota Camry. I think we should outlaw Toyota Camrys.

How many times were you attacked by someone with a firearm loaded with greater than 15 rounds who didn't get a BGC in the week prior?

The new laws are equally as effective as the Bigfoot whistles on my wife's scooter. Since I installed them, she hasn't had to dodge a single Sasquatch in rush hour traffic. Thus, they are 100% effective in preventing Bigfoot collisions!

Thank God we have strict gun laws in Colorado now. We could end up with a bloodbath like Chicago, with their loose laws! (http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/local/breaking/chi-chicago-violence-july-6july-7-20130706,0,34361.story)
