Here is some information that would make everyone's life easier by getting your pictures on the Internet! It's easier than you think.

A NEW site has come to my attention that is easier that the other ones listed. It is at http://imgur.com (http://imgur.com/) and you don't need to even register! Just make sure you remember the links, or sign up for an account. I would suggest getting an account (it's free) because you can review and manage your pictures needed.

The simplest way is to post your picture as an attachment here in the forum. The drawback to this is if you have a large picture, it will not let you upload it. When you go to start a new thread, scroll down and under " Additional Options" you will see a button that says "Manage Attachments". A popup window will open. Browse for the picture and upload it. If it was successful your file will be lister under "Current Attachments" in the same popup window. You can close the window when you're done uploading. You're done! Make sure to post where you are located and your asking price.

-- If for some reason you can't get that to work there are other options.

First, you need to pick a hosting site. There are a few free ones like http://photobucket.com (http://photobucket.com/) and http://imageshack.us (http://imageshack.us/) I personally use Photobucket, but both seem to work fine.

Register here (http://register.photobucket.com/)

After you pick your username and password it asks for more information like name, email, gender, etc. The only fields you need to fill out accurately are the email, and the captcha (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Captcha)code. The other fields you can make up the information if you desire, but you cannot leave them blank.

After that, you're in! Now you are ready to start uploading pictures from your computer.

After you upload your pictures, it will display them as a gallery. Under each picture, it will have 4 different URLs for you to use. The one you usually want is called IMG Code. It will put the brackets you use to display the pictures right in your thread window. Note: if you have a high megapixel digital camera and the pictures are saved in very high resolutions, you will want to make the pictures into links. In this case, you will want to copy the Direct Link URL and place those into your new thread. This will prevent the massage from being stretched off the screen for people without 30" monitors.

To copy and paste, you need to highlight the URL (or any words in a web page) by clicking on it, or left clicking and dragging your cursor over the text. Then, you can either hold down the Control key on the bottom of your keyboard and hitting the letter C, OR you can right click and select Copy. Now, click in the body of your message and either hold down the Control key again and hit the V key, or again right clicking and selecting Paste.

Preview your new thread, make sure your pictures show up how you want them, and don't forget to post where you are located and your asking price. and you're done!

When folks use ImageShack's photo hosting service... where it generates a Thumbnail that takes you to the ImageShack site when you click on it... I keep getting stupid "Pop-Up's" that tell me that my computer is "infected" and needs a "scan". What a LOAD! It would not be so bothersome EXECPT that I end up having to close my ENTIRE Web Browser Session to get that [Censor] "Pop-Up" to GO AWAY!!!

It seems to work without issue if the thumbnail generator is not employed.

So... folks... if you use ImageShack, please do not use the thumbnail code in your post.

For those who have not had the pleasure of this experience, the ImageShack Thumbnails say "ImageShack" on them... don't click on 'em!! That is, unless you really would like some idiotic marketing ploy to waste your time on!

Try using PhotoBucket. (http://photobucket.com/)

Sadly though, I think the pop-ups you're experiencing mean that you've got a particularly nasty bit of malware that is very diffucult to get rid of.

It doesn't hurt anyting but it IS very annoying. Google "how do i get rid if your computer is infected with popups". It'll help get to a solution.

Bookmarked and saved for later. I don't have any pictures on my laptop to upload but it looks like just what we need to share gun porn. (maybe that's why they consider this site a porn site because we call naughty pictures of guns porn?) But it looks like the cure for the common picture sharing site.

When I attach a picture to a posting it shows up as a thumbnail. I've seen some that are full size (nothing too big, but like 800x600 pixels). How do I post a picture full size?

I'm sure this question has been asked before, but I'm not finding it.

You have to link directly to the picture that is hosted some where online. It won't work if the picture only exists on your desktop.
