Anyone interested? It will have to be a small group, I'm only doing this to split the hazmat fees. Max from MidwayUSA is 48 lb. If 6 or so of us wanted to go in and split hazmat, I'd do the buy. If midway's not got the best prices, I'm open to suggestion.

Let me know what we are talking about....cost ways and I would be open to joining in

They do; they just don't have any stock right now (especially primers).

Here was my diabolic plan. I need 8 lb of something to load .223 with. This is my 1st attempt, so I don't know what powder I'm going to get, I was gonna ask that next. The cost breakdown is (from Midway) for 6 8lb jugs of generic powder:
Item Total:$683.94
Postage, Handling & Insurance:$0.00
Special Handling:$0.00
Hazardous Materials Fee:$22.50
Shipping Fee:$9.99Sales Tax:$0.00
Adjustments:- $0.00
NRA "Round-Up" Contribution:$0.57 https://www.midwayusa.com/midwayusa/staticpages/shopping_cart/shopping_cart_images/spacers_dividers/money_divider.gif
Grand Total:$717.00
I figure 5 other folks can share or any combo up to 48 lb and we all get what we want and split hazmat and shipping. I may be on crack, I have no idea. I'nm new to this but I can do the buy. BTW, Midway appears to be out of primers.

You would have to try hard to not get Ramshot TAC to shoot most bullets well in an AR. I have 18lbs of it and might be getting more as I burn thru it kinda quick- its my go to powder for my AR.

How does TAC work in a RCBS Uniflow? I have heard that Varget does not throw even charges. I'm an engineer, meticulous, but lazy :)

I have had unburned grains all over my rifle when I used varget. I might work best in a bolt action but not a semi auto. I've switched to small ball powder since then.

Thanks, that was the advice I was looking for. Read the reviews, looks like it's worth working up. Like I said, I am a new reloader, I will be very conservative. Smack me if I ask too many questions in the wrong place.
Time is righht to post what everyone wants. I have to stop at 48 pounds + add ins for extra stuff. I don't mind if you need to add tools, brass, whatever to the order if you are willing to pay for it. The main point here is to spread out shipping and hazmat.

TAC meters like water thru powder measures. Grab a pound and try it- I think you will like it. (burns clean also)

I'll start. You can post here with a request or send me pm. I will order next week, Wed/Thu. If everyone's request is available at Powder Valley, I will order there. If not, It will be Midway USA. Check stock before you ask me to get it. The hazmat and shipping will be equally divided among the number of purchasers unless someone also wants a boat load of steel or lead.

I'd be interested in joining, but am a total n00b at reloading and would love some advice.
I'll be reloading 12ga only.
I bought a 12oz can of Accurate's "Nitro 100" shortly after picking up my press just because it was practically all Sportsman's Warehouse had. Haven't tried it yet. If anyone can recommend powder they've liked for 12ga I'd appreciate it. If it matters, I'll be wanting to load everything from 00 buck to #7.5-8 target shot.
[I know, I need to get a book...]
Have read a few good things about Red Dot, Hodgdon Longshot, what else? Most of my reclaimed shells to date are Winchester Super-X, but I have a case of Estate target that I haven't cracked yet.

Do you have all the people needed to make it cost efective? If not I may be interested. Do you know how it works for back ordered stuff. I.E... everyone oders there powder and it is in stock but mine isn't. How do they charge for in this case? Not another fee I hope?!

Not yet on actual commitments. Just me so far. You're still good to go to get in. I'd like to order this week.
