View Full Version : Write some letters with me... Obama
I was thinking that we need to get proactive and write a few letters asking Obama to stay away from gun control schemes in his term. If he starts getting into gun grabbing he might not be in power come 2010. The voters might have to spank him. But if we can send enough letters to keep him away from his pet projects like gun control and whatever else comes into his head and the heads of his liberal elite croonies. We might be better off.
Who is with me?
sounds like a good idea, but honestly I don't think all the letters in the world will change our government now.
if there are no terrorist attacks, the economy improves, and he doesn't join the KKK and start lynching folks on the white house lawn, then he is a shoe in for a second term. and during that second term the media and throngs of obamatons will let him do whatever he wants.
we're humped.

I'm in. Couldn't hurt. Been surprised before.
How do we get a hold of him? Should we write emails or paper letters or both? I don't know how to get a hold of him.
Address Gun Violence in Cities: Obama and Biden would repeal the Tiahrt Amendment, which restricts the ability of local law enforcement to access important gun trace information, and give police officers across the nation the tools they need to solve gun crimes and fight the illegal arms trade. Obama and Biden also favor commonsense measures that respect the Second Amendment rights of gun owners, while keeping guns away from children and from criminals. They support closing the gun show loophole and making guns in this country childproof. They also support making the expired federal Assault Weapons Ban permanent.

I agree with Foxtrot - it's our Congress members (both houses) that we need to focus on. Obama is on a major "can you whatever I want/Can't do any wrong" high right now and I have no doubt that we'd NEVER change his mind on the issues of gun rights.
Our members of Congress KNOW that they have something to lose (although it seldom stops them from doing the wrong thing). I'd use my ink and paper for these folks.
He just rubber stamps them like a monkey (and if you think that's being racist, I mean a literal freaking monkey) -
Awww hell man, does this mean that anytime we use a phrase in common usage or the like that we have to be apologetic for potentially being considered racist?!?!??!
This ain't gonna be pretty.

As to the core of the question.. don't write him, Congress and the Senate are the true action takers here. That's where we should focus our efforts. So if we can find someone here who is particularly eloquent and can generate a form letter for us, can we get that posted and stickied in the political section?

You bet.
Wayne LaPierre.
Bad juju coming this way. Hold on. Gun registration is a big thing the Obama administration would like to see.
Registration was a great tool used by Hitler to confiscate guns from the citizens.
We are in a period of decisions which will affect the Republic forever.
