Hello.
Is there a spot to here with the acronyms (FTF- face to face for example) so as to reference to understand some posts? I understand a few for example WTT, WTB, NIB, LNIB, CNC etc. but on occasion I am stumped.
Thanks.

Hey Jumpstart - I've been on this site for almost a year and I still see something that stumps me. Just do like I do and ask "WTF? What do you mean you WTS a LNIB AR15 to LEO for FTF only?"

I haven't seen anyone here who would think any less of you for not knowing and everyone is always happy to offer a fast & friendly response.

Is there a need for all these acronyms? I mean, unless you're in a rush, or sending a text message, or have a limit on the number of characters in the area you're writing in...

Don't mind me, I'm just being argumentative! Haha.

The FTF (Face To Face) on this website throws me off every time because it is most commonly used on gun boards to represent (Failure to Feed) or (Failure to Fire).

Sure we need them. If it weren't for all of the aronyms we use we'd never confuse all of the new guys.... er, ah, I mean... Many (if not most) of us have some sort of military background. After even just 1 tour you get so used to using acronyms that it becomes second nature.

I heard once that congress had proposed an ARP, but brass rejected it..

(Acronym Reduction Program)

and just to clarify, I am not former military- work with alot of them, and corporate American has adopted acronyms almost as fully..
