Anybody know if there's such a thing in the Denver area? Basically an auto repair shop where you can rent a bay and car lift to work on your hoopty. I know there's some around the country, just wondered about here.

When I first moved to the metro area (almost 8 years ago), there was a place that you could pay a monthly membership and work on your rig anytime. They had lifts, all the tools you could imagine, welders, torches, plasma cutters, and I even think they had some diagnostic equipment. I never joined because I was too broke at the time, but it looked bad a$$. I'll have to see if I can find any info.

You know, that sounds familiar. I don't need a membership, just some place by the hour. Like this....http://www.king5.com/on-tv/evening-magazine/Self-Service-Garage-164451776.html

Oh, I did Google this, didn't find anything. But I may have missed something.

No kidding, right? I have some simple suspension repairs to do, but can't wallow around on the driveway to do it. Need a lift. Have everything else.

I have tons of tools, but no garage and my driveway is dirt. Which means it's snow half the year, mud a quarter of the year and dust the rest of the year. Repairs seems to always need to made during the mud season. I will keep this in mind for the next major repair for sure.

That is one of the things I am thankful for. If I need a lift or a paint booth it is cheap on post and that is one of the benefits that stays when I retire.

Bring your vehicle up here, along with the cement mixer tumbler. I have the space, killer bumper jack lift and other items needed to do repairs.

That was seriously one of the business ideas I had.

Rent a flat bay for x an hour or y a day or z a week. Same for a lift. Need tools? Head over to the tool locker and rent a set of sockets for x amount a day. Diagnostics? Scan tool is x amount.

Want me ( who is sitting on his ass not getting dirty) to diag your car for you? It will cost!

I figure you can include the online repair instructions with the cost of renting a bay.

where were you guys when I was selling my lift 4 months ago? I practically gave it away so I didn't have to move it cross country

A car lift in a nice big shop built to my specs - I'd be in heaven. At least until I got the shop so fulla shit I couldn't walk around.

The DIY auto place is pretty nice. Had them mount and balance some tires a while back. The tools are clean amd orderly. LCD tv in every bay, free wifi.

Hell, I have wifi in the shop but if I had a tv as well I would never get anything done. Bad enough I post here so much during the work day.
