b/t the "red lights don't apply to me" and the "i want to be 2 lanes over NOW" and the "my text/phone is more important then anyone eles's safety" we've got all the stupid we need - all we need are dashcams in every car and we'll see the near misses

It is open season on pedestrians in many countries.

I tried to avoid crossing any streets while in Moscow. Besides, there were usually some vendors selling at good prices in the pedestrian underpasses. [Coffee]

Outside of Moscow, most cities don't have underpasses, so you need to buck up and take your chances. A little Kvass, piva, or Vodka helped.

All I took away from that is, don't be a pedestrian in Russia.

I just read a story about the Chelyabinsk meteor that blew out all of those windows and crap. Most of the images captured were from dashcams. The reason most Russians HAVE dashcams is to avoid insurance frauds claims in cases like this lol.
