View Full Version : "GUN OWNER DOLLARS"

So, my sister sent me a picture of a $5 dollar bill that she got in change. I had a simple thought after seeing this, for Colorado... What if we stamped our cash (I know it would be a time consuming pain in the ass), so Colorado (and the liberal f*@k tards) could see just how much we really give to the state. I know this isn't a big step in any way, and a lot of you would think it is just stupid, but it gives a literal physical way for people to see just what they're trying to get rid of. If it is big enough, who knows... maybe it would hit mainstream media. Anyway, it was just a thought, and looks like someone is already doing it. Either way, even if they don't get it, we'd still be pissing off all the liberals the moment one of these bills hit their hands! LOL

For those of us that have kids, we have free stampers! Mine think it would be fun to do...

Ya, I had already thought that... We use little ourselves........

Neat idea but my household is very nearly paperless at this point (all bills paid online, everything else put on AmEx to accrue points, CC balance paid in full every month).

Wouldn't take much effort to go withdrawl a couple hundred bucks before a grocery shopping trip though.

Whoa! Is that cash? Wow, it has been sooo long.

I like the sentiment.

When I renewed a credit card I was (supposedly) able to pick my own design/photo for the card. I sent the photo below, was told it was accepted and then a week later was told that it was considered inappropriate and that I would receive the standard card design, which came in the mail the next day. I complained but no one could say definitively why it was not appropriate.

I used to use cards exclusively but after dealing with credit card companies over the last few years of running my business I no longer accept cards and I do not use them at all.. I still have a Bank card for my checking account for buying things online and for paying at the pump otherwise I use cash.

Where can I get one of those stamps? :)

I don't know, I've been looking. I have also found other people who have done this on their own too, but no luck on stamps...

I think I'm going to try to find someone on Etsy that can make stamps. If I do, I'll post the link up here.

I'd bet that 95% of the people that would handle that bill wouldn't have a clue what it means. Even gun owners.

I have 2 1/2 teenagers and a wife. I have a hard enough time keeping the debit card in my wallet. Cash? [ROFL1]

Office Depot and Office Max both sell custom stamps online and at their stores.

Not a bad idea. On the subject of cash: A few years ago my family was paperless. Everything online. We've moved back to cash for a lot of stuff. Around that time I was in the Brighton Walmart. I was in line to pay when all their card readers went down. In about 3 min it was chaos. People leaving their carts full of frozen and refrigerated items. One woman yells, "I got to feed my babies"! Store clerks yelling at people to not leave their carts full of food. Etc... Have you read the book, "One Second After"? It got nasty in a hurry. Card readers down, not registers. I paid with cash, got out of there before it got worse. I'll never forget that moment.

We don't use that much cash either, but I've started carrying some with me. We were in our Walmart when the power went out DURING THE DAY! They treated everyone like criminals. They shuffled us to the front of the store and forced everyone to checkout right then. ALL walmarts have skylights, so we could see perfectly fine and were barely able to even notice a difference in the lighting. They had a generator or something for all of the registers though.

I got the most pissed off because I was on my way up to a work shift for a 5 night shift. I don't have the ability to go to the store when I'm at work, so I have to bring all of my food with me. I didn't even get half of the food I needed for the shift and nearly decked a female employee when she laid a hand on my Fiancee physically blocking her from grabbing a few more items.

Then at the exits, they were telling everyone to pack up their cars and leave immediately. Because they have control over who sits in their parking lots. Hell, its a literal RV park 6 days out of the week! That infuriated me but alas, we don't have another store to shop at. Then again, we're getting an Albertsons this fall and we will be doing ALL of our shopping there.

Isn't it illegal to deface currency?

Regardless of the answer for the above, I'm willing to jump on board with this 100%. [Flower]

I hope you get one of the good ones. We have one here and the sales are great and they carry Tillamook products like the butter and ice cream not to mention the cheese.

Regular name brand items it is better to go somewhere else.

On the subject of illegal, isn't it also illegal to photograph currency in its entirety ?

Also, $2.99 plus shipping for a self inking basic custom text stamp in your choice of ink colors. http://www.vistaprint.com/custom-stamps.aspx?txi=16621&xnid=ContextualLeftNav_Self-Inking+Stamps_Stamps+%26+Ink_All+Products&xnav=ContextualLeftNav_Category_Stamps+%26+Ink

Where on the link are the $3 ones? That would be a hell of a deal.

Click the get started box to the right of the $2.99 self inking stamp image and choose the custom text option. You can even download a custom image, an AR image and "Spent by a gun owner" would be cool.

Are you a current Vistaprint customer? If so that is probably why you see $2.99 and everyone else sees $9.99.. I use them a few years ago and I know prices change depending on the level of business you do with them.

It's already been done by other advocacy groups. The "gay money" stamp surfaced sometime around 1993. http://articles.baltimoresun.com/1993-06-22/features/1993173190_1_gay-money-gay-and-lesbian-words-gay

You are right! So, lets not do it... The gay pride people did it in 1993....... Fuck it, who cares. Why bother doing anything right?

That sounds labor intensive. I think it should just have something short and sweet about the 2nd amendment. Or something along the lines of "Live Free or Die"

I think it should just have something short and sweet about the 2nd amendment.

Well, could go with "The right to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed," but that gets a bit long for a small custom stamp :P

(Perhaps just "shall not be infringed"?)

APPARENTALY

If you're going to yell, it's probably best to spell.
