I'm not sure where a good place is to post this, so I figured this area has a higher population of FFL people hanging out around it.
I applied and received an import permit to bring some pistols in from S. Africa for a client. I have never been involved in this process before, so I am trying to get some more info now and the ATF isn't the greatest at answering their phone or returning calls.
Now that I have the permit, it looks like I just need to get the shipper to send the stuff here and then when it gets here I need the permit and release/tax form to pick them up at customs.
Does anyone know if this is correct? I'm inclined to have the shipper put the permit number next to my business name, just in case.
