View Full Version : Sig SP2022 review
Bought one of these off Bud's a couple months ago, after BGC fees at Rapid Fire it came to just over $480. Came with two grips, one small for CCW and one a bit bigger for other uses. It has a rail built into the frame that I haven't attached anything to yet, but I do plan on putting a light there soon. It only came with one mag and a second one cost $60, Sig mags are always expensive it seems. I finally took mine to Firing Line this past weekend to let off some steam after having my paypal hacked and my checking and savings accounts emptied. I put one box of Win white box, 2 boxes of PMC Bronze and a 50rd bag from Precision Cartridge our group buy producer through it, all rounds were 115gr FMJ. Only failure I had was a fail to eject from a Win white round, but this ammo was bought back in Michigan in 2002 most likely as it still had a Meijer sticker that read $5.99. Once I settled down and got used to the gun it fired very well, if a bit snappy for range 9mm ammo. It does have some muzzle flip if you aren't holding completely steady, and some double taps were not closely grouped though within the 8 ring. I was mostly firing 10 rounds to a mag even though they hold 15, never had a problem with 15 in there I just got impatient reloading mags. Mag swaps were smooth, I did some practicing with having 3 rounds in one mag, 2 in the other and doing a mag swap with a double tap. All in all I like the gun and it is worth the price if you can get it at about 500 or less. Once I get a light for it I plan to put the larger grip on it and use it for home defense.
New toys are always cool. [Awesom]
$60 for a SIG PRO mag?

Love my 2022. Have had zero problems with it so far and got a hell of a deal. $375 shipped back in November. Also picked up some extra mags for $39. My only complaint is the de-cocker on mine seems a little "flexy"? Just doesn't seem very solid to me. Hard to explain how it feels just think it should be a little crisper? Other then that love it. Looking for my next Sig now

Had 2 of them, a 9 and a 40. Liked everything about them except for the length of the double action trigger pull. It was so long I almost had to readjust my grip! I decided to sell them and keep my 226s.
pfft kidicarus13... who needs DA mode when you can shoot in SA? Just tell the bad guys to give you a moment to cock the hammer LOL
Picked one up in 9mm several years ago. It was my first poly frame centerfire pistol.
First trip out, I wasn't too sure about it, and definitely had to get used to the DA trigger pull.
It only got better each time out, and now is one of my favorite shooters. I've run a minimum of 1500 rounds thru her, probably closer to the 2k range, and have not had any feed or eject issues I can recall, aside from a couple limp-wrist induced jams when the little woman was first getting used to it. She now loves it, too.
Not to rub it in, but a couple years ago, I found a police supply house, in Chicago of all places, that had stock Sig mags for $19.99. Doubt I'll ever find that deal again.
Anyway, congrats on a good acquisition.

Everything was cheaper in the past and will be more expensive in the future...
