Recommend a good thin grip for an officers 1911. Picked up a Rock Island for a good price. It came with the rubber over molded grips on it and the factory originals in the box. I want some nice thin ones. Black. because Im going to get it duracoated when I get back home.

search on ebay
really, there are 100's of stores doing just grips. I've gotten lots of cool ones that way.
I've got a set of VZ slimline grips with a thumb cutout. They're about half as thick as your standard grips. Mine are made with G10 material. I think I paid something like $60-$70.

Pics by chance? ETA: I looked at their site and Im thinking about the 320s in black. Thin with just a little texture.[Coffee]
I'll try to get pics with the VZ's next to the standard wood grips. I use my iPhone for pics so I'm not sure if it'll load.
