I'm an Emergency Medical Responder looking to gain knowledge on treating battlefield casualties. Can anybody recommend something in-state that could help me out? Thanks guys.

cmailliard has a presence on the forum and teaches TCCC. You can read some of his posts on the board to get a feel for his thought process. This thread has some discussion. (http://www.ar-15.co/threads/110733-Why-do-you-need-medical-skills-and-tools)

Dark Angel Medical is located in Colorado but it doesn't look like they have anything going locally for the rest of the year. http://www.darkangelmedical.com/Training.html

It was cancelled. I was going to take it, but they said it will be rescheduled for October.

Yeah we are re-scheduling down the road, it's a slow time of year for training. I do a 4 hour class for Bowers but the full on Casualty Care and Rescue class is the way I am going now, I like the feel of the longer more in depth classes. Check out my WEBSITE (http://www.asymresponse.com) for some pics from the last class.

If you're civilian EMS then stick to your directives and what you've been taught through NREMT. Applying TCCC protocols here CONUS in a non-military setting could lead to legal issues. Learn the concepts however be aware they are designed for battlefield use. Check with your Medics to see if some of the techniques are authorized as some are not (ie. needle decompression, battlefield triage, etc...)

I've taken both the classroom training and the live-fire range class and both were absolutely awesome. Chris is one heck of a knowledgeable instructor. Money well spent, you will not be disappointed.

If anyone wants to take this class signup ahead of time. I heard last time it was canceled because of lack of interest and then people started calling after it was too late.

I assume this is still a go, I'll be there.
