Do any of you guys do any back country camping out around the Rangely area?
I enjoy hiking out there and would like to do some camping and am looking for some recommendations. I know it is HOT in the summer, some bugs and those clay-based roads become impassible when wet - so I'm looking for road access that's not too deep in the back country. For example, possibly somewhere along Dragon Road, or somewhere North of Rangely. That area is mostly BLM land so camping can be done anywhere. Not many tress for shade. But - do any of you have any recommendations?
