I know there's quite a few members from northern colorado who like beer. Is there any interest in getting some meetups a few times a month at some various breweries in northern colorado? I'd be more than happy to setup some meets a few times in the month.

I'd even consider doing a BBQ at my house or someone elses, providing you guys bring some growlers of your favourite brews to share and a few bucks to cover for food.

Post if you'd be interested.

If people from other parts of colorado want to form some groups by all mean start a thread.

Figure this might be a nice way to meet and socialize with members more frequently. If we ain't shooting guns, we can at least enjoy some good local beer and talk about guns!

The guy that borrows money to open a brewery, makes enough money to move to a bigger location, but won't pay the guys back that gave him the money to get started even fought the law suit until he had to settle it to get his new license. Dirty maggot even claimed a loss for years but somehow had the money to move. He is a dirt bag for other reasons also but that is his work ethic and how he treats coworkers. I would rather drink piss.

Ah lucky you! I have stayed in a hotel/motel only once in all my years going and that was clear down in Custer state park. Amazing how much they jack up the prices during the rally! I usually always stay at the Roubaix lake campground. It's south of Deadwood on 385 and a little just past nemo rd. There is a tiny gas station/mini store on the east side of the road right at the entrance to the campground. Nice and quiet at night much cooler than down in town and you have the lake to swim in to cool off. Also showers and ice at the mini gas station.

We have friends that stay at that same campground you're at, but momma doesn't want to shower at the gas station all week. DE is a very convenient location, and we've been staying there for years. Old habits, and all that.

If you've never been there, do note that it's off a short road off Denver Ave. It's in a little industrial park. You turn off Denver Ave going west, and go behind the first "set" of buildings to find it. Aug 30th is the start of Labor Day weekend and I'm heading to Medicine Bow with the fam to shoot P-Dogs for the weekend.
The following weekend would probably be better/easier for a lot of people and the law won't be out in force with check points.

I currently have nothing scheduled. Same time, same place? I need to get in there before the 1st to get my CSU v CU growler. Did you guys see that? You buy a growler and pick a CSU or CU lid and if your team wins you get it filled again for free. "Losing lids are worth a free taster to get you started on drinking your sorrows away." lol So either way, free beer. We're going to get a couple and as much as it pains me to say this as a Husker fan.... we're getting CU lids. I'm a Husker through and through but I'm not a dummy when it comes to getting free beer. lol

There's a chance we'll get over there again before then either way but if people wanted to do that again I think it worked out pretty well. It wasn't as busy as I was afraid it was going to be so our larger area didn't seem to put any other patrons out. It was a bummer that the food truck wasn't there but it's possible it would be there next time as it's usually been there on Friday & Saturday nights when we've gone. Not amazing food but beats pretzels & peanuts (not by much though since those are free ;-)

Some of us later were discussing the possibility of hitting up Big Beaver Brewing at some point as well. I haven't heard real good things about that brewery and have heard it mostly relies on sexual innuendo to sell beer but I still would like to try it sometime just because it's close to our house. This brings up the point that it would be a further drive for those coming from the East by about 10-15min or so straight across 34. Even though I want to try their beers what I really want to try is the cider place that I heard about that I guess is in the same place called Blown Spoke Ciders (http://www.reporterherald.com/ci_23733430/cider-making-will-come-loveland). According to that article it opened a week ago.

So, those are my thoughts. What do others thing and I'll get another list started.

AHHH jim, you're too kind..........High Hops aint bad, can get kinda busy on the patio, but they do have plenty of room inside. They have no kitchen in house, however, they do have food vendors that show up in the late afternoon till closing, "9pm".
