My legs are rubber.......oh, I started at 0700 and made it back to the car at 10:00 ish.
Thank goodness for some pretty girls and Yoga Pants to motivate me!!

I have done it, it is brutal. 1 hour 40 min to go to the top and down Barr trail for me but I am old, broken and fat.

ETA: Oh, and dupe on my Manitou thread.

Did it last year. I'm not into hiking though, I'd rather have an ATV!

Sounds like something I need to try if only for the scenery.

I'd rather bike up it. Walking sucks.

I've done it once. It's a kick in the ass but you usually have some nice "scenery" close by to help keep those feet moving.

Lots of the women believe that a small sports bra and spandex shorts is completely acceptable attire.

I am not one to disagree with many of them.

How are you talking when you are passed out?

Good job for completing it. Whenever I get to just below the false summit I always ask myself wtf am I doing this. Had a friend that came down the incline, slipped and impaled the bicep on some rebar. Key lesson, don't come down it.

I was on it with my daughters and wife. Kinda hard to purve women when you got a gaggle of them with you.

Watched a video of it. How does this compare to doing a 14er?

Pretty much not until sunset. You'd best do it very early in the morning, and wait until the end of August (too many people training for the ascent/marathon).

It's only a little over a mile up, but it's super steep. I'd say most 14'ers are way harder.

I have done Barr Trail when I considered myself in fairly good shape and it kicked my ass. I have never had rubber legs like I did once I got above the treeline I considered turning around but finished in the world record time of 8 hours.

Depends, I tried to run grey's once and it took me about 1hr and 45 mins to complete it; 5 days after my marathon I tackled the incline and it took 37min I think? but slow in my book. Grey's was easier because my heart rate was lower and there weren't too many people blocking my way. The incline has a ton of out of shape people( Yes, maybe one or two very attractive/fit girls) but slow people and the quick elevation gains burn your lungs and legs faster.

I've done it a few times... right around 40 minutes to get to the top and I may give it a go this weekend.
