View Full Version : craigslist...
from time to time I find pretty good deals on guns & ammo via craigslist. and lately I see a lot of reloading stuff in there. Just wanted to let ya guys know.
Good luck! [Beer]
I see a lot of reloading stuff, but I thought you weren't allowed to sell guns on there.

I'm buying. [Pepsi] yes it's restricted, but sometimes you can see smthn like - for sale range items, or like this - for sale G19 350rds down. when you see it email the guy as fast as you can before the ad is flaged. [Beer]
Yeah, I've for sure seen an add like that.
Doesn't someone on here have a TC Encore? I found this add for a barrel.

Also, someone is GIVING away for FREE 1.5 boxes of .32 ammo.
I'm surprised that ammo is still there.
try search "AR" few days ago there was a guy selling the upper. and I've seen couple of lowers there too
Any good deals on lowers or are some guys trying to make some money?

Hate the craigslist, seems like everyone wants like 2% below retail "only used this camping gear 3 times and now i'm selling it at a $5 discount". Do people actually buy this shit? Has anyone actually had luck selling at close to retail prices (i'm a cheepskate and expect garage sale prices).
Oh, guess I do, bought a set of tires on there, the guy wouldn't budge on the price, even after he told me he got them free when cleaning out a garage, still a really good price for me though. Back to the subject, bought a rifle on there too, called the guy and by the time i refreshed the add it was blocked. Turned out to be a really good deal on a rifle that I love, EBR even!
cheers

I don't know, never asked them for price.

Well, this seems to be norm lately, but like i pointed out before, all these guys seem to want way too much cash on craigslist.

agree, but sometimes there're some good deals.
Here (http://denver.craigslist.org/bar/1013317338.html) , not sure if it's a good price, I know nothing about shotguns.
You can get a new 12 gauge for that much can't you?
I don't know, never asked them for price.
Thanks anyway.
Some guy on there looking for 7.62 in the x39 length was looking for ammo after I asked him to be sure. I sent his this way because some of you guys are selling every once and a while. Maybe he'll get frustrated and sell his gun here too.

Thank you. I didn't see your post until I read the next page. Sorry. About a year ago some guy on that pay to play site was selling his whole Bushy AR for 700 and took 500 for it. I traded it for a CETME and I am hoping to undo that mistake.

Posted my boat on this site for 500 and got one reply. Couple of weeks later (I'm Lazy) posted it on Craigs list for a 1,000. Let some guy talk me down to 700 so he'd feel like he got a good deal. You can sell "ANYTHING" on craigs.
I'd say any time you see a post for gun stuff on Craigslist, you should email the person and let them know about this website.

That's what I do.

So... I use Craigslist from time to time to sell items. Right now I have an old school biker jacket listed. Last night I got a msg asking if I still had it (I do). Today, this is the reply I got:
Hi,
Your payment will be mailed out as soon you provide your full name and address and will take about 7 working days. I will pay via money order . Let me know where to send your payment to because i would'nt want to lose it to someone else. I dont mind adding twenty dollars so you can keep it in my favor and for the delay. Pick-up wont be a problem as i already have an arrangement for that.
Jerry
Yeah, hmm. He's so generous to just give me an extra $20. No chance that the money order would be counterfeit would it? Let's see, I'd cash the money order at my bank. The guy who he "arranged" to oick up the jacket for him would come get the jacket. A day or two later I'd get a notice from my bank that they took the value of the money order out of my account because it was counterfeit.
I don't expect that I'll hear back from this guy after my response.
I came here to the USA ~3 years ago, and at the begining it was really difficult time for me and my wife. and the craigslist helped us a lot, I bought a lot of stuff (furniture, kitchenware, etc.) for cheap or even for free. Yes, there're a lot of scamers and stuff there, BUT I really DO like the idea of the craigslist.
P.S. now me and my family are OK, just bought our first house last August or so.... The main thing that I like in this country is - you just work hard and you can get whatever you want. [Beer]
Sorry for spelling

Dr Fwd. - no apologies necessary. I'm glad to hear things have worked out so well for you. Congrat's on the house!
I just gave away a washer & dryer via Craigslist this weekend. They need work, but they both worked. I hope the guy who picked them up was someone who actually needed them and not someone who just planned to fix the minor things wrong with them and re-sell them.
Back to the purpose of this thread, the best I've found on CL ref. firearms is a Blackhawk holster and 4 30rnd AR mags.
Just found this http://denver.craigslist.org/ele/1017987928.html
Thank you theGinsue!

Here is one I got off CL recently, start at the bottom and work your way up.
So what is your first name? Is it Johnson or Schinosky or do they call you
something else in your country?
Stop wasting my time. I'm not going to play anymore.

I am okay with the price of this item and the condition of items
and we will like to make an outright purchase of this particular item
immediately because we are in need of it and we want to get as soon as
possible, I anticipate that a Money Order or certified check will be sent
to you via express mail or ups or Fedex as the mode of payment, concerning the pickup, i will be responsible for that, where the mover will come for the pick up at your location upon your confirmation of receiving the payment and i want you to remove this item from the ad now. So i will send the payment which will include the pick up charges, in which you will make payable to the mover via money gramm/Western union immediately after you have receive the payment and you will be compensated with $100 extra for your running around to the money gram/Western union outlet to avoid the delay. And I would really love to come for the viewing but due to my work frame that might not be possible... .....and I will like you to provide
the following payment information as soon as possible;

>> full name ...........................................
>> full home address (physical
>> City.............................................. ..

>> zip code..............................................
>> tel#.............................................. ....

I don't know if its taboo or not but I think we should start a collection of fake money orders and bank checks from these guys. Collect them and post them on the internet for everyone to see.
I know that my dad has several USPS money orders that are so fake that no one could mistake them for real ones. They look like they were xeroxed copy of a copy.
