You guys liked that book? I thought it was far fetched. It felt like every poor decision by all the characters was just a device to further the plot. If he would have just called the police, and waited for them, when he got mugged in the beginning, everything would have been okay and none of the rest of the story would have taken place. Well, maybe they will get lucky and Michael Bay will pick this up.

Might have to read that book... sounds similar to One Second After, and that was pretty good... although an Edsel? Really? [Coffee]

FIFY Points & condensor. 1 sec after has a similar base, but really goes off on a different approach.

Fair enough Jim... just as soon as I finish Brad Thor's Lions of Lucerne I'll get right on Lights Out, and not just because I fear your wrath... [Beer]

In the same theory of 1 sec after it's a book that holds your attention. 1sec after i read till i fell asleep round 4am. Same for LO.

i've read both 1 sec after and lights out. I liked lights out more but my mom who read both liked 1 sec after. I actually find it interesting most really favor one or the other.

it's been a few months since reading it but I think you are thinking of some other book. Karateman doesn't get mugged (as far as i can remember). He gets attacked at the grocery store pretty early on but....I won't ruin it.

they haven't started making the movie yet. inconsistencies, you'll see them, are discussed in the thread that Jim linked to

At least the trailer has one scene that was in the book, unlike WWZ.

Hell yeah. I liked this book and hope they do it justice on the screen. "One Second After" has to be in the works, no?
