As the free shit army wrings it's hands in detroit. This once again shows us there is still an America.

Boden asked Kerr, "Sir, will you please run with me"

even though Kerr was dead last in his age group, clocking in at 35:43 minutes

Good story about the Marine helping the kid out. But I have to wonder why his parents or whoever was in his group were not with him.

I was wondering the same. Supposedly he got separated from his group, but one has to wonder, are the parents so irresponsible that they'd leave him behind?

True story - I actually did a double take and was surprised this thread wasn't titled GOOD JOB MARINE'S. When I read it the first time, I saw the apostrophe in there because I'm so used to seeing people on the internet put an apostrophe on anything that end's* with an S. That's how messed up our education system is. It's actually starting to rub off on me.

Anyways, nice job Jim.

Now that's a real man! Doesn't take much to figure out what this little boy thinks of the Marines now...

As to 'losing your boy in the crowd', well, if it happened to Mary & Joseph, it can happen to anyone. [Coffee]

Article didn't seem to indicate the parents were participating, so they probably wouldn't have run. A 5k seems pretty tough for a 9 year-old. I don't know about you guys but I would've been proud of doing a 5k on a bike back when I was 9. I didn't learn to run till I was 25ish.
