I killed one a few nights ago with fire. Big bastard started going off in my tree in the front yard talking to my neighbor. She said she hates them and they annoy her at night because of the noise.
I got my torch and smoked that little bastage!

?? Colorado has Cicada's? I haven't heard nor seen one since I moved here in '95. Used to deal with them in MO & IL for the first 30 years of my life...especially every 7 years when they had their HUGE hatching when their loud sounds could be deafening..

I don't miss seeing these everywhere either

These are neat bugs, big and harmless. Grew up with them in the plains (seemed like every year) and miss the sounds. Don't hurt them.

You could go deaf from the cicadas when I lived in San Antonio. You notice when they show up, and you notice when they're gone. You get to where you ignore them in-between.
