Just called Coffman's office, and talked to Paul about this one. We all have to do our part. Don't just send an email, but call and kill them with kindness, don't be rude or mean, just polite and to the point. Gotta hold the liberal characters feet to the fire...

Anybody remember that book Turner Diaries? It started out after a law like this was passed.
Any one in doubt why they are going to take our firearms?
They will say its for the children.
But politicians and bullets go together like flies on shiet.
They will say what ever they need to say to convince the sheep it is for their own good.
I loved their stats. Must have obtained their numbers from the Brady bunch.
Nice note about the Chicago shooting. One of the most anti gun states in the nation, home state of our new pres...I'd better stop now.
This did not work in Chicago, why in the heck do they think it will work here? [Bang] .

Scary!
You're kidding, right?! His "home state" only in the sense of that's where he's lived the last few years. At an absolute outside possibility, his "home state" is Hawaii, but I'm still of the belief that it's Kenya or Indonesia.
Kenya and Indonesia isn't his "home state" its his "birth place".
He is as American as Castro. We are in for a long fight for the next 2 years.
We are in for a long fight for the next 2 years.
I am thinking a a real tense first 6 months, then a nerve racking 18 months. Then the mid point election. That is where the real fight is gong to start.
I think the Obama clan knows that they can not push too hard for these extreme Liberal measures and expect to retain control for the entire 4 years. They are few, but we do have a few Dems on our side of the whole 2A issue. They might also be able to keep things mellow enough to secure the second coming of Obama. Then it will get ugly.

Message here is that the Dems won it all through activism and sneaky dirty politics. We'd better get saavy to the game or we'll be the Payor and the other 85% will be the payee. I'm not sure how to do it, but it is time to get politically active to restore what is written.

RMGO's email: I hope they don't spank me too hard for posting it here:
H.R. 45 is Draconian Gun Control
What H.R. 45 Does
The legislation has three main components.
Increasing requirements for firearms purchases.
Creating a national firearms registry overseen by the Federal Government.
Stiffen penalties for bookkeeping errors related to the Federal Firearms Database formed in section 2. To purchase a firearm a person would be required to pass a written firearms examination, release all health records -- including mental heath records -- to the Attorney General's office, and submit to a two-day waiting period, as well as pay an "appropriate" fee of $25 per firearm.
Additionally, every firearm sale would be recorded in a database, which would track the serial number, make, model and identity of the owner. The legislation would also make all private sales of firearms illegal, and a felony offense.
In addition to these regulations, the legislation includes excessive regulations and penalties for bureaucratic missteps from simple failures to report address changes to failure to report stolen weapons.
Provisions of H.R. 45 include:
Requires passing a written examination to purchase a firearm.
Releases medical records -- including confidential mental health records -- to the Attorney General for Government review.
Requires a two-day waiting period on all firearms purchases.
Institutes a fee of $25 or more on all firearm purchases.
Creates a national database with all firearms and firearms owners registered by serial number with the Federal Government.
A Federal ban on all private firearms sales.
Increases in penalties for clerical errors related to this national firearms registry.

Who's sponsoring H.R. 45
H.R. 45 -- President Obama's National Gun Registry and Citizen Disarmament Act -- was written by Illinois Congressman Bobby Rush (http://rs6.net/tn.jsp?et=1102443677133&e=001aZKF6CRbuYRS9aS_O6oe5cp8trx-Sk7AyZfOqfBFD5-_zbYBy3Qtpkuxvzu5dOWfsL83UM2hbgD5QpNejdZhMX8X8YGWH ajeQjonRAYC5-rD8o1-dho2Mg==) (D). It currently has no cosponsors. But will it pass Congress?
Congressman Rush's bill an outrageous destruction of Constitutional Rights, but it's the compromises that are truly dangerous
Though far-left gun-haters routinely sponsor pie-in-the-sky legislation (anyone remember the days of Sen. Moynihan's annual 1000% tax on ammo?), H.R. 45 has set new lows for the depths to which hoplophobes will sink.
Is H.R. 45 dangerous? Yes. But is it likely to pass? No, not in its current form.... it's too far-reaching.
What is likely to pass, though, is a compromise, a deal cut with the gun-grabbers and the group that ostensibly represents gun owners, the NRA.
Think that can't happen? Rewind to the summer of 2007, when arch gun-hater Congresswoman Carolyn McCarthy (http://rs6.net/tn.jsp?et=1102443677133&e=001aZKF6CRbuYTGZTM7hC-ZQfalSuWWF-LI3hDXx5LkQDiUWVn4qhp92Hb8pu_oXqnmlZq1y90866OHmo4t Otn6-O-8yDZuwoTcmehPiAT_iHASbS2zeOXznccIpdJFHCIt) sat down with NRA board member Congressman John Dingell (http://rs6.net/tn.jsp?et=1102443677133&e=001aZKF6CRbuYRS9aS_O6oe5cp8trx-Sk7AyZfOqfBFD5-_zbYBy3Qtpkuxvzu5dOWfsL83UM2hbgD5QpNejdZhMX8X8YGWH ajeQjonRAYC5-rD8o1-dho2Mg==) to craft a deal to expand Brady Checks into new realms of mental health records. A few months later, H.R. 2640 (http://rs6.net/tn.jsp?et=1102443677133&e=001aZKF6CRbuYT5hWSyKPVpOFgF3UjraQGsrPwT29zYKvOR2 fx9I5vEWeNxRp7_4x4cW76KGcpUxtjBREL2UdIt1SN6Cwt1f3g 9XwW3h7VWpLTEyi0is3WFTgX2HcOz5EP4cOMYPHvm1LA=) passed...with the approval of the NRA and McCarthy.
Congressman Rush's gun control ideas are much, much more dangerous as amendments to legislation that is already advancing.
Remember the Brady Bill? It didn't pass as a stand-alone bill. It passed as an amendment.
Even more frightening was that it passed with the approval of the NRA (click here for that full story (http://rs6.net/tn.jsp?et=1102443677133&e=001aZKF6CRbuYSOPfcOs5qsov0hvsQ7MKXEzUOH01liMVuTZ U-hkLmz6lsSJjrRUGLGvrvwm8v1PMxklqCWTLymVyE2VPAmM0DAY upy_OOus8XnHVu8TdWhQ9XvSFoxoDa7))
The same is true of the Lautenberg Domestic Abuse ban, the Assault Weapons ban, 1986 McClure-Volkmer (which bans the manufacture of transferable machine guns), the 1968 Gun Control Act, and numerous other examples (especially if you look at state legislation).
Yes, we're watching H.R. 45. , and we want everyone to sign our petition against it. But also beware the slight of hand -- it's often more dangerous.

This is what I wrote last night, still haven't received a reponse yet. GO FIGURE.
Mr. President,
I have never been more disgusted by anything than I am by the disgrace placed upon Blair Holts act of heroism by naming a worthless bill after him, H.R. 45.
To think that any criminal will obey a law you ever write is not only foolish, it's dangerous to all of us law-abiding citizens that do obey them.
The only thing that may have saved Mr. Holts life would've been a law-abiding concealed carrying handgun owner on that bus to stop the shooter.
Where were the police?
Lets see. Mark Udall, John Salazar and Michael F. Bennet, done deal. The Government has been taking by the Global elite. They have looted the treasury and the stimulus bill will further devastate the dollar. Next step disarm America citizens.
PLEASE GOOGLE NORTH AMERICAN UNION.

What H.R. 45 REALLY Does
Gives some anti gun politicians stiffies and a little more "street cred" with their constituents.
That is all.
This thing has no co-sponsors and is stuck in committee where it will likely die.
HR1022 had a significantly better chance of coming to the floor and even it only had a snowball's chance.
Seriously EVERY SESSION someone submits some sort of stupid anti gun bill ... most worse than HR45. EVERY SESSION. And most never go anywhere.
Sure, we should be vigilant, but getting one's panties in a bunch over this bullshit does us no good.
My panties are always in a bunch when it comes to gun control. I can't seem to finger it out either.

"Any one in doubt why they are GOING to take our firearms?" Now you of all people know that they can't TAKE them unless you GIVE them to 'em! Our clarion call is very simple - NO!
It takes only a very small number to start the tide flowing. NO. NO. NO.

They can still TAKE them w/o your GIVING them to 'em. 5 or 6 blue hats show up at your door with a list, I doubt they are going to ask more than once before you are having an intimate conversation with the ground and they are ripping your house apart trying to fill their shopping list.
The million dollar question is "HOW are we going to start the tide flowing?"
The more 4473 purchases you have, the higher up on the visitation list you are going to be. That and financial history (purchases) for parts and supplies.
I can think of a few things that they aren't expecting. A legal action for one.

Once "visitations" begin, all bets are off I'm sure.
The second amendment was put into place to prevent these kind of situations and if they need to get rid of it to prevent its use. I don't think I want to be around for whats happening next. They have something horrible planed that they see a persons guns as a problem they would like to do without.
How Stalin killed 50 million of his own people after red October thru starvation and forced labor camps comes to mind. What is the difference between people like Stalin and the people he rules is a lack of action and piece of paper saying he can do it.
