Thinking it might be nice for transporting in a smaller package.

Read an article on this adapter. Biggest drawback was taht take down required unscrewing a small set screw. You could not simply slide out the push pin as normal. Also price was about $200.

It's easier and more cost efficient to just separate the upper / lower for transport.

I have a NEA CCS on order since July 1. Order still says "pending." Will post review if/when it arrives.
