View Full Version : Smaller hands
How about a suggestion on what to look for. I am a little fellow, so I have small hands. Its hard to find something that really fits me. I guess thats why I only have 1 1911 right now. Its a full size so carry is a pain.
A lot of guns now have different back strap options I think. I know the M&P does and I thought another gun does as well. I think the Walther P99 has a smaller grip. Are you partial to a certain caliber? Since you have a 1911, are you set on carrying .45?

prefer something in a .40 or .45
A Kahr is small. They come in enough different models that you can range from almost too small to shoot great, or just small. That's the impression I'm under anyway. Maybe someone can correct me.

"J" series or equivalent snubbie?
I know my Taurus 605 seams puney in my big paws.
The factory trigger's are super nice too.

Sparky,
Take a look at the Walther PPS in .40 cal (or 9mm if you prefer). A buddy of mine has one for his ccw, and he too has small hands.

The Glock "SF" (slim frame) models are also more friendly for those with small hands than the standard glock frame.
