This came up on another thread, but thought I'd ask everybody what their favorite podcasts were. I generally listen to the following:
The Joe Rogan Experience
Bill Simmons
Mohr Stories
Comedy Bang! Bang!
Bill Burr's Monday Morning Podcast
Pretty much all comedy to a certain degree, but thought I'd ask what everybody else listens to.

Freakonomics

Other stuff I will actually listen to on the radio, I save the podcasts for the few things on NPR worth listening to precisely because I don't want to get the other leftist garbage.

The one's I subscribe to are:
Dan Carlin's Hardcore History
Common Sense with Dan Carlin
The Survival Podcast
Econtalk
Philosophize this
Stuff you Missed in History Class
Radiolab
occasionally:
Student of the Gun
Bill Burr's monday morning podcast
Practical Tactical Podcast
Mark Levin
The dude hosting Student of the Gun (Paul Markle) pissed me off the other day with his bullshit explanation for not including a hemostatic agent in their blow out kits. If he had just said "it would make the price too high" I think it would have been fine. But claiming to have taught TCCC for three years and making the statement that hemostatic agents are no longer included in IFAKs or taught by TCCC is just flat rubbish.

For a more light-hearted turn, there's always The Opie & Anthony Show (http://opieandanthonypodcast.libsyn.com/rss).
Just started listening to this one.

I started listening to The Survival Podcast (thanks Mick Boy). I like it, even though I'm really only interested in about 1/2 of the topics - b7t those that I am interested in are excellent.

Color me surprised. I honestly thought podcasts disappeared about the same time as MySpace.

Thread revival! What are you guys listening to?
A few on my list:
Dan Carlin's Hardcore History
EntreLeadership
The Partially Examined Life (kind of liberal, but it leads to some interesting discussions)
Serial (This American Life)
CarTalk
A few I listen to occasionally:
No Agenda
EconTalk
Dave Ramsey Show
SOFREP

I don't have much time for podcasts but when I do, the big three are Car Talk, Freakonomics, and RadioLab. BBC has a great History podcast but I rarely have time to listen to it.
Treasures Of The Texas Collection
Music From 100 Years Ago
Still Untitled: The Adam Savage Project
The Alton Browncast
The Roadhouse
Radiolab
Okracast
Funny how much overlap there is with the pods. Check out the Crab Feast. Comedy, long form interviews.
Radio Lab
Invisibilia (Brand new, from the same lady that started Radio Lab. Kind of the same thing, but not quite as good IMO)

Mildly entertaining, and sometimes quite interesting, but it won't make you any smarter.
Necro thread revival! [zombie1]
Been looking for some different podcasts.
Chad Prather-good YT stuff too.
The Federalist Papers
The Michelle Morin Show
Southern Fork
The Dollop
Garden and Gun's Whole Hog
BrushnSoapnBlade
S Town
Good stuff for driving.
I've got Dan Carlin's Hardcore History, and just find his Common Sense. I can't find his Genghis Khan one though. Hardcore History only seems to go back so far. Anyone know where to get the Ghengis Khan one?

I think you can buy past episodes on his website for $1 an episode. Past shows come off as he releases new ones. He takes forever to release new ones. Only 2 this year, but always damn good! [emoji1303]
If you like true crime stuff check out True Crime Garage. My favorite 2 hours of listening every week.
Other good true crime podcasts are The Generation Why and Casefile.
Just came across Stuff to Blow Your Mind today. I like that one so far.
I never get to them all but try to catch up when I am on the road:
The Ben Shapiro Show
5 Minutes in Church History
Apologia Radio
The Way I Heard It
RadioLab
Dave Ramsey
Malcolm Gladwell's Revisionist History
Hidden Brain
Dan Carlin's Hardcore History
I've listened to others but since I never can keep up with the one's above that I've subscribed to, I know it isn't likely I would listen regularly to anything else.
I've been enjoying Revisionist History as well.

I've only read Blink. It took me a bit to warm up to it, but I ultimately really enjoyed it.
I'll review the rest of the thread, again, later, but does anyone have any good hunting podcasts? When Joe Rogan has archers on his show (Cam Hanes), those are usually pretty good, but I've heard a lot of the recent ones already. Probably something I'd listen to as hunting gets closer.

American Warrior Show is my current favorite.

Hey, does anyone have a recommendation for a Podcasting App that has good functional integration with Android Auto?
I installed Podcast Republic and it's a complete POS when plugged into my stereo.
And while we're at it, anyone have problems with Google Play updating podcasts?

I heard this the other day. Pretty good stuff. If you go to their web site there are other podcasts, but I've only seen this one video. (Skip past about 20 minutes of ads in the bginning)

I've been binge listening to Steven Rinella's Meat Eater Podcast and it is about as much hunting as I need. My current favorite that I have a very high tolerance for listening to for a long time.
Just came across Stuff to Blow Your Mind today. I like that one so far.
I'm rescinding my recommendation of this podcast. The hosts are annoying and don't know shit about most of the things that they talk about. They are well spoken, and they obviously do a little research before each episode, but you can tell that they don't have certain life experience, or direct experience of the topic and it comes through. Kind of like a couple of career college students trying to talk about real world issues or something. Anyway, I don't like it. Unsubscribe.
Translation: It's a couple of liberals trying hard to be PC and having dumb opinions about things.

If that is Randy Newberg, I ran into some of his videos and thought there were pretty useful.
I've been listening to The History of Rome podcast. Episodes are short, around 20 minutes, so they fit neatly into my commute to and from work.
The podcast itself is exactly what you would expect, Mike Duncan starts at the beginning of the establishment of Rome as a kingdom, it's changeover to a republic and goes all the way through to the end of the fall of the Roman Empire.
https://thehistoryofrome.typepad.com/
Duncan's presentation is a bit on the dry side, so it takes some adjustment, but his dry delivery sometimes contrasts well with some of the ridiculous antics of some of Rome's more colorful emperors.
The Jordan B. Peterson Podcast
Ben Shapiro
Get Off My Lawn w/ Gavin Mcinnes
Southern Gothis
Still Untitled: The Adam Savage Project
Rescinding my recommendation of this podcast. Savage showed way too much of his azz after the FL shooting.

"Part of the Problem" Dave Smith
"The Tom Woods Show" Tom Woods
"Free Man Beyond the Wall" Pete Quinones
All are good libertarian (small l) podcasts if you're into, ya know, liberty and all that.
Concealed taco dues - I found a link for this on NOE website. Odd, most of the voices sound some what similar to an older pod cast buy a bunch of dudes (mostly).
http://www.concealedtacodudes.com/
which I also watched
Full Lead Taco on youtube; not a pod cast, more like a video cast
https://www.thereloadersnetwork.com/channel/full-lead-taco/
I guess I should get back to this - the gun fighter cast, use to be one of my top 5 to play while commuting to work
https://gunmagwarehouse.com/blog/category/the-mag-life-podcast/
Stitcher just updated their app and now you can't turn off autoplay, which is s most grievous offense. On top of that, I can't see the option to pause playback when another app (maps) is talking. Finally, I've always had trouble playing downloaded podcasts without internet, which is endlessly frustrating. That last problem is not unique to Stitcher, as I've experienced that with Spotify as well.
Anyway, I have to move on from Stitcher. What apps are people liking for podcasts? I don't really like Spotify (auto playback is always on), but keep it apps for Rogan.
Podcast Republic
I haven't been listening to much recently, but that is what I use on my phone, which is what I am playing from in my vehicles.
Thank you. After listening for a few hours today, I'd say that the auto play is the less annoying since it only happens at the end. The continuous play through the maps app is WAY too annoying though.
When I did Android I ran podcast addict. It worked ok. Not sure if still around.

This is what I use too. I tried Stitcher and didn't like it at all. But maybe I was just used to PR. Went right back to PR.
Two recommendations. Downloaded. Thanks fellas.

Radiolab and Freakonomics have gone standard liberal so I don't listen to them much anymore. When I run into one of the BS episodes, I just forward to another podcast.
I've added Mike Rowe's "The Way I Heard It" and "Benjamin Franklin's World" to my listening queue.
I feel the same way about RadioLab. It's unlistenable at this point.
