View Full Version : Colorado Officials get special license plates
So they get special plates, that aren't registered in the system, to use on their own personal vehicles. No parking tickets, no photo radar tickets, etc. Wish I could get some of those!

Totally messed up.
Shows the "Elitist" attitude that floats around politics. We are better and don't have to pay fines.

That's going a bit far.
Politicians....
I heard about this before.
Traffic and parking ticket exemption
Obamacare exemption
What is next - immunity from prosecution for felonies?

Or electing new politicians with prior criminal records. Oh, my bad, been done.

PRECIESLY!!
The purpose is so they do not get delayed while traveling to vote. We can all imagine a scenario where a critical vote gets swayed by giving the right person a speeding ticket.
I'm sure the exemption will apply year round and not just while in session though.

I saw Evie Hudak in traffic a couple weeks ago with her Senate District 19 plates. Didn't know it was her till I passed her, but she should have gotten run off the road. Just saying. She drives a grey Ford Focus, btw.
If the special plates got them some extra attention from constituents, that could be a good thing. The rest is bullshit though.
This is just plain wrong. They are citizens, just like the rest of us...... 2014!!

I know you're right but, delayed while traveling to vote?! Sounds like they need to do what I do if I think there is a chance I will be delayed when traveling to work... LEAVE EARLY AND OBEY THE TRAFFIC LAWS!

That only applies to the little people, especially the ones who aren't here illegally.

Reminds me of Lethal Weapon 2:

What is next - immunity from prosecution for felonies?
Done: THe Holder clause
Not really the comparison I'd make, but I guess so. It's another idea that could be ok, but then gets taken advantage of by greedy people.
Though I have to admit I wouldn't mind free E-470 access. It would cut down on some of my driving times, but it is just way too expensive.
