So my Form 1 was approved on July 30th and I still don't have my stamp? Looking at the NFA tracker people have been receiving their stamps that were approved several days after I was?
Anyone have a recent approval? How long did it take to receive your stamp in the mail?
I did do a change of address form during the process but I called several months ago to verify they received it and it was changed.

They can hold up to 30 days after approval, before mailing the paperwork out. That gives you 2 more weeks before you see it, if that.

Well crap. When I look here some people are getting them within 5 days of approval? www.nfatracker.com
Example: Approved Aug. 5 received Aug 8 (Ohio). Doesn't seem to be any consistency to how they approve/mail? Should I show my "surprise" face?
I have never seen more than a week after approval when I see the postmark.
The date stamped on the bottom of my approved Form 1 is July 23. I received it July 29.
That was after I returned the Form after correcting it. The correction letter was dated June 14. I received it June 21.

I'm going to call them tomorrow then. I hate to do that because you can just hear the frustration in their voices when you do but I think something is not right. Hoping they didn't send it to my old address?

I called after 3 weeks on my correction. They said 30 to 60 days. My mailed my correction back the same day I received it. I received it in my mail box 37 days later.

Do you happen to know your pending date? I mailed a Form 1 in on 1/15, check cashed 1/23 but it didn't go pending until 2/23. In the not-so-old-days I'd be due to get it back in about two weeks.

I just called them and they have my correct address. She said if I don't see it in 30 to request another copy? Oh well.

The "another copy" is a bummer. It doesn't come with a stamp, just an extra signature at the bottom.
I hope you get your original.

It could take a few weeks or more for the stamp to arrive.

I'm just curious why people approved many days after me already have there stamps? I would think they are mailed in the order they are approved? It's really starting to piss me off now. If it is "lost" in the system I have to wait another 15 days then submit a request for a replacement which will no doubt take a month or two. [Mad]

Unfortunately, there is no rhyme or reason how the NFA branch works, or even functions. Some of the stories i've heard from atf field agents makes you wonder. You think going to DMV sucks.

Got the stamp today!
So even though I sent in a change of address form months ago and they acknowledged that they got it and it was in the system they still sent it to my old address! [Mad] It was mailed July 31, the day after approval and has been floating around USPS all this time. Figures.
Since they just fold the origianl Form1 so the address shows through the window on the envelope it had my old address. No one put the new one on or used the change of address form I sent.
