Being old and kind of connected in the community some of my friends have started some work on the old girl. One of the things we have all talked about is how one shoots and another does not.
We have people that have spent big $$ only to have a run of the mill rifle. So some guys have been looking at every aspect and we have learned some things.
just a tease in testing.

Just one built at home. This vid comes from a group that have been at the files since the beginning. The only "Brand" you can buy these days is DSA. EAI builds from kit components as well as Century.
It has only been in the last 6 years that DSA now can make all of there own parts. Everything else and all before all had some surplus parts in them.[Flower]

So you wouldnt suggest an entreprise FAL then? I wouldnt mind building it but ive never built one so I would need a build party.

EAI (entreprise) has been hit or miss over the years. I like some of there products but it seems to be what day of the week type of thing. There is nothing wrong with a build from a kit. In many cases the parts are much better than DSA.
Now all that said a Century can be a great rifle since once you get past the receiver most of the parts came from imported kits. Said it before and I will say it again. There is no rhyme or reason when it comes to a FAL. That is one of the things the video is for. We have members that have sunk $4K into the best of the best and it is a 2moa gun.
In the past we just used to build kits until we got a good one. 2 of the 3 in my safe are that way. I have my Izzy clone with a shot out G-1 barrel that if I do my part shoots 1.5" all day long and I built it 13 years ago.[Flower] And have known to build a few. There is a reason why BP Tactical calls me a Fal whore.[LOL]

I am not. But I never should have sold that last one. I just knew it would be a shooter. But when my clone was offered back to me I had no choice.[Flower]
Nah.
Such is my luck. Well good luck with your FAL's

Much testing has been done and the gang has gone public with it. http://www.falfiles.com/forums/showthread.php?t=358745
Still playing with things but the end result may be a solution to the Fal going beyond just being OK from an accuracy standpoint. One of the things that does work for repeatability and the sometimes stringing problem. [Flower]34351 For Bert, It is adjustable for preload or pull.
