What size cleaning patch for Yugo SKS?

What size cleaning patch should I use for my sks? (7.62x39mm)
On the bag of patch material there are size marks for 7mm, 12 guage, .223 and so forth. I assumed the 7mm would be closest but it still seems too big. Just want to make sure. Thanks in advance.

7.62 = .308

7mm = .284, If I remember right, So it should work fine..

I use the .308 patch with the .308 cleaning rod/brush. Works great, as mentioned above 7.62=.308
